This is a problem that I encountered tonight. I don't know if anything can be done about this, but I'd very much appreciate any help.
My computer is running low on disk space, and I'm trying to rid it of as many unnecessary files as possible, but it still has problems. Recently I wrote a short story and saved it as a RTF file on Wordpad. I made a minor spelling correction and went to resave it, but an error message popped up and said there was no more space to do so. I didn't think much of that; I was used to getting those sorts of messages. Well, I closed the file, and the next time I opened it, it was completely blank. For some reason, it was wiped of all the text. Is there any possible way to get the writing back, or is it totally lost?
Thanks!

There's a long way I know of doing this, and that's to install Google desktop. Have it search through all your files, and it will pick up, for example, a line that you remember that was in the story.
There's probably a shorter way of doing it, but that's the first thing that came to mind.
