So...I got a new computer last September and it came with Windows XP. My previous computer had Windows '98 on it. Anyways, the windows 98 computer came with Microsoft Word 2000 on it. I was able to install that onto my new computer and it worked ok for awhile. But then I got a virus back in late November of last year and my whole computer was wiped. I had to reinstall everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. But when I tried to re-install word, it wouldn't install. So now I am left without a document program that will let me save pictures in the document itself. I can't really do that with wordpad or notepad. But I was just wondering if anyone knows of any free downloadable programs that are like what I need, i.e. a documents program that you can save pictures in the document too. Thanks to anyone that can help.

And please, don't say "Well, go out and my the current version of microsoft office". Because if I wasn't on a budget and had that kind of money right now, I would've done that already.

Alternatively, you get get your feet wet in the opensource world and download OpenOffice. It's a complete suite that does everything MS Office does.
