So, I have a video file I downloaded a while ago. (Nothing illegal or anything) Anyways...it's a .mpeg (.mpg, .mpeg) file. I couldn't find it in any other format. I have a bunch of programs it works with-Winamp, ATI, Nero, Creative media player. (It doesn't work with windows media, I don't have the proper plugin) So, my problem is, the video plays, but there is no sound at all. My dad said it may have something to do with the program, but I tried 4 different programs. Is there anything I can do? It's really frustrating.

you might be missing a required codex to play the file, download and use videolan http://www.videolan.org/ it comes with most codex's installed and will play almost all file types including the mpeg
