Now, it arranges everything by date last modified. Everytime I set it back to arranging by file type, when I exit the folder or click any option, it rearranges to date last modified.
It's not really a big problem, but it's bugging me to no end. Help would be much appreciated.

Whenever I do a scan with Norton anti-virus it detects 6 pieces of Adware but it can't delete them. When I find them myself and try to delete them it says that the file is in use and can't be deleted. If it helps one of the file names that I have a lot of trouble getting rid of it C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools\WToolsA.exe can anyone tell me how I can get rid of this?

It's probably as simple as making sure that "auto arrange" isn't checked off.
Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer.
Go to My Computer, then c:\
Right click on any whitespace on the righthand side of the window, and click on "Arrange icons." You're obviously doing this to attempt to rearrange them, but you should make sure that at the bottom, there' s no checkmark next to "auto-arrange." If there is, click it once so that it turns off.
If it ain't that, then I got nothing.

It keeps on randomly signing me off MSN Messenger by somehow automatically logging in randomly whenever I'm on the Internet, or at least that's what I think causes it. I can't uninstall Windows Messenger, and I know there's got to be a way to disable it, yet I can't find it.

Tricky. Try "Add Remove Programs" -> "Add/Remove Windows Components" -> Uncheck "Windows Messenger".
