Was just wondering how fast is the 802.11g standard of wireless routers. I have 3 computers at home...

I heard there is a way to network 2 computers with WINXP without the use of arouter. How do I go aBout doing that?

don't know how fast the router is, but to network 2 XP computers without a router you use a Lan Cable, they're around 20 here (In canada)

you can connect two comps by having one computer connect to the net and the 2nd computer connecting to the other one..you'll need 2 ethernet cards in the main comp

most routers promise either 10mb/s or 100mb/s. mine is at 10mb/s.

Since these are no longer temporary forums, I will update my signature.

Well if you are talking about the Linksys 802.11g, then yes, it is pretty fast. Originally we had a Linksys 802.11b, and it was fast but then we got this one and you can see an improvement. ;)
