Grow your website's population

Many people wonder how to grow their website's population, this tutorial will help you with that.

First off, start with word of mouth, even before you want to release your website to the grand old internet, be sure to tell your friends, so that they can test for bugs and such, and if all goes well, advertise it.

Second off, let's get down to business; start posting on other forums, but remember, do not spam, make sure to have your site's url in your signature, and be sure to post articles/good threads there, so that people will acknowledge you, and get to know you for who you are, and maybe they'll join your site/forum, which ever it may be.

Third off, let's start off with free traffic.
What is this you may ask? It's called Search engines, make sure to build up your link backs (which are basically sites that link back to your site), build up your PR(page rank, more big-time websites will want to affiliate with sites with bigger pageranks).

Fourth off, keep your site fresh of new content, update it daily, add flash games - flash games are known to bring in new members to your site/forum, so add them asap.

What kind of content you ask?
Well, add content that's related to your website's title, such as, web games, and explain them, so that you can catch the reader's eyes.

It is very possible to grow your website's popularity in a week, however, you may not see those people day in and day out, you have to keep them there, and if for some reason they do not stay, that means you have some work to do, so keep working, and keep promoting, and your site should be growing at a rapid pace.
