My laptop has speakers installed internally, however, we used the earphones a lot and eventually we messed up the earphone socket. Now, the computer always thinks there's something inside and wont play on it's speakers anymore. (The earphones wont work either)

Is there anyway to force my computer to play? D:

I know on stereo systems and some/most/all? computers, The headphone jack takes over if there is something in the headphone jack, If the jack gets messed up you need to replace that jack... I'm thinking it might be the same way with yours.

But it's a laptop, and it's really annoying because I took it to a shop and said that they would need to take apart the whole thing to fix it and they said it would cost about 250 dollers. =\

What kind of shop? A highstreet computer store? You could probably look around in family-run/owned computer store. They would probably do it for the fraction of the price, but you'd void your warranty.

Which brings me to.. Is your computer still under warranty, in essence, is it under a year old? If so. Contact the store that sold it to you. They will either 1) refund your purchase, or if they're being annoying, 2) tell you to go the manufacturer.. Which you would do of course.
