I received an email, supposedly from the lottery. It went like this:

We are pleased to notify you that the draw (999) of the UK NATIONAL LOTTERY, Online Sweepstakes International Lottery Program held on 22nd July, 2006. Participants were selected through a computer ballot system drawn from a pool of over 25,000 names of distinguished professionals drawn from Europe, America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Middle-East, parts of Africa, and North & South America as part of our international promotions programme conducted annually to encourage prospective overseas entries. From the first email it seems strange as the address is from lycos, then the next is a yahoo email address. What do you think?

They can use that stuff for Identity theft, with all the info it's easy to make a fake ID and get a credit card under your name.

Also, if you notice, the phone number starts with '07' (where +44 takes the place of 0), and all '07' numbers in the UK are mobile phone numbers. So, how many lottery companies do you know that would use a Lycos or yahoo e-mail address, or a mobile phone for all their huge business deals?
