I want a PC that's faster and doesn't freeze/lag/crash that often i.e. being able to run multiple processes and big processes (not sure if its just mem usage). I've also tried increasing virtual memory by about 500 mb I think but that didn't work as well.

In my old computer I removed 5GB worth of memory on games and its still lags by the same amount.

If I am choosing my new computer, what kind of specifics should I look for?

E.g.

High Hz?
100 GB differences in RAM?
Anything else?

Well, if you want the computer to be used for intense games, you'll want a processor that's at least 2-2.5 GHz or more. As for RAM, 1 GB or more should do.

And as for a graphics card, I'd go with Nvidia, but ATI is good too.

Would be easier if we had some kind of price limit to work everything out, unless money is no problem.

And if money is no problem, Just get an alienware computer :) Those things are clocked to work best for video games and have negative lag.
