I was removing some unused programs earlier. You know how some of the folders get left behind in the programs folder, so I was going through deleting the empty ones and I came across this program called Viewpoint Media Player.

This is their website: http://www.viewpoint.com/technologies/v ... ayer.shtml

Apparently its a browser plug-in that is commonly installed with AOL instand messenger, which I have. Obviously that is where I got it from becaue I have no recollection of downloading it.

My question is how do I get rid of it? It's not listed in the Add or Remove programs list, and it doesn't have an uninstall option.

I don't really think I have a need for it, so I want to kick it to the curb.

Is this the Viewpoint Toolbar?

Or is it something else?

Is it listed on the set of toolbars when you right click by the address bar? If so, you can just disable it... but you'd probably have to uninstall AIM to completely remove it.

Are you sure it's not in the Add/Remove Programs list? Because I have it on my computer too, and it's on my list. And oddly enough, I don't have AIM (although I did but I uninstalled it).

It is definately not in the list. I tried reorganizing the list in several ways to help me locate it, but it is not there. My list isn't that long, I am sure I am not missing it.

It is definately not showing up as a toolbar. It isn't a button on a toolbar, it isn't part of a toolbar, it isn't in a list of toolbars, it is not a disabled toolbar. -_-

I feel lost.

Not sure how reliable this is, but sounds like it could do the trick?
