This is on the chalkboard. Turn it backwards. I can see words "ARE AN " something (QMF?) "OF THE" at the top and other words I can't read.

On the bottom it says "I'm afraid"
and maybe now..

Maybe it says "I'm afraid no.." or "I'm afraid now.."

If you look at the frame just after Roxton introduces himself, you can see the writing again except it is a little different.

My computer is not allowing me to copy the pic so I can reverse it, but from my angle I think it says "we are (blank) of the"

smudgeoffudge wrote:Ok, above where it says beware of mishap they or workshop thag or whatever you guys are seeing, does it say the word hello?

It is like

Hello
_____
Beware of blah blah blah

I see it.

:o
That's interesting.
Maybe there is a pretty brutal/thug like person on the site somewhere?

And has anyone noticed that all the monsters are like HUGE mutant petpetpets?
The first ravenous monster thing (the one we battled) looks like the Skritch.

The other one that it got in a fight with seems to be a Lady Blurg.

The last, the herbivore, is a giant Mootix.

Interesting, no?

I'm beginning to think this is like the Altador shops clue (where TNT had to nudge us in the news before we figured out it was available) -- everyone assumes it's not out, but we're just being blind. That being said, I've no idea where to go.

There's definitely nothing clickable in the third comic or in the book. Nothing jumped out of me in the source code of either of those pages. It's called "mip," which I thought might be "Mystery Island Plot," but then again, the new island could start with an 'M,' too. I've checked out the Rock Pool, the beach, the Island Mystic, and the Haiku Generator -- nothing unusual.

Just in case (though I guess this is the usual randomly generated crap:
Today's Neopian haiku is:
Now spins fragrantly
sustainable ornament,
assimilates, thin.

Contemplate this, and return
tomorrow for another Neopian haiku.
and
You will be attacked by a pack of glow-in-the-dark Shoyrus.

Anyone else got any new theories?

Hmm. You were attacked today too?
"You will be attacked by several gigantic Lupes."
Anyone else?

Oh, and everyone is assuming that "mip" means Mutant/Mysterious Isle/Island Plot.
Hey, at least we can all agree on the plot part. XD;;

Mysterious Island. Mystery Island.

Except in the comic they specifically mention Mystery Island as a currently habited, known about place, so the mysterious island isn't Mystery Island. But they could still hide clues anywhere. I refuse to play Time Tunnel to test that theory; I'm relying on others' testimony that that does nothing. Thank goodness -- that game bores me.

It could be that all this chalkboard stuff is just the translated ramblings of Mad-whateverhisnameis.

Or they could just be messing with our heads. Like the Beatles did with the "Paul is dead" stuff. Oooh, I think that my age is showing.

It was discussed in the previous split - some of the comic panels have thin red lines in the background for no apparent reason. However, I had a closer look at them myself and now think they're not significant.

This writing, on the other hand... very intriguing, though I'm not sure what a morhop thag is.

I would assume it stood for Mutant Island, as that is the next plot that TNT talked about in the last issue of the magazine.

It also makes sense, since the petpetpets on the island are mutated into huge creatures. :)

It's a SWF file, not a JPG/PNG/whatever. You'll need the correct tools in order to flip it.

Or you could just screenshot it and use Paint with the Ctrl+R buttons

I'm getting annoyed with the inflation, especially codestone and dubloon inflation. Can someone tell me which is better at my stage:
I'm at level 21, now should I do the academy or MI trainging school?
Both seem costly.

If you wish to discuss the current cost of training and which is the better option, the Battledome board is the place to do so. :)

Thu May 10, 2007 11:23 am

Hello everyone!

The words in top of the blackboard look like 'are an igm...... of the'

the igm....word seems to be erased. so i suppose we have to figure what that word was or something.

And the word on the bottom of the board looks like 'frail'

I honestly doubt the text in the background of the image has anything to do with the plot. It seems more like decorational gibberish, to me.
