HW Plot Part: Sophie's lab (Split #5)

Okay, normally I don't just out-and-out ask for help like this, but I'm stuck on Step 3 and I just can't get my 3rd composite. I can actually feel the stretch marks on my brain, fer cryin' out loud!

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +67 +/- 2
Relevant property: Power
Target value: +104 +/- 2

Any suggestions?

By the way, as aggravating as this is, it would have been even more so (at least for me) without you guys working hard to find out the recipes for all the constants (the Spectral Essence, etc). Thank you so so much! Wish I could buy you guys ice cream or something!

3g Wool. Soak until Enchantment and Power is at 268.
3g Berries. Dessicate until Power is at 148.
Make sure to check both of these reguarly.
Then 6g of random ingredients, doing nothing

That should work for you.

I've got to be grateful.
Because of all the help I got from reading, I am at step 5 and I have already done composite #2 and #3.

Now I have to do 10 g of Ice Plasma . Since I have catch up, I'm naively thinking that I can find the solution myself.

One thing I tried to do was to take 1 g of each 10 ingredients and put it into a composite without doing anything to them. (I told you I was naive)

At the 6th ingredient I got the following message :

You can't add any more ingredients to that composite, or it might become unstable and explode!

Therefore the solution IS NOT 10 different ingredients.

Another thought : since I need to do Ice Plasma, couldn't the color of the composite be an indication? So what color should Plasma be to you?
If we know the color, we might have a way to achieve it?

Rune, I think you need to try this:

3g Wool: Burn til Enc/Div is at 272.
3g Berries: Soak til Div is at 144.
6g of other ingredients.

That -should- work for you.

Soaking a Leafy Slorgblossom:

For 10 seconds, 5 divination (rounded)
20 seconds - 9
30 seconds - 14
40 seconds - 19

I can't figure out what could possibly model this that would be linear - help?

Perhaps it goes up around 4.5 each time and sometimes rounds up and other times rounds down depending on how close to the second you clicked it

Composite 3 cannot contain more than 1 grams of any one basic ingredient.

In case anyone needs it, here's my solution for composite #3:

Quantity: 5 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +300 +/- 1
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +300 +/- 1

Do everything to the max EXCEPT the ONE place indicated

1g wool - burn, soak
1g Nova - crush
1g - Bronze - crush
1g Bloodfern - desiccate
1g Jurpleberries - burn(completely) and then crush to +150 (I got 153, it was close enough and it took me 50 seconds)

To make the Jurpleberries part clear (as I can) don't crush completely, just to +150, but you will burn it completely.

This is what I ended up with:

Miscellaneous Composition

Quantity: 5 grams
Conjuring: +301
Divination: +18
Enchantment: +300
Power: -258

In case no one else has, I took the liberty of testing a few more ingredients to the max. I just wanted to warn PPTers that I tested four and will likely be posting inbetween other posts, since if I try to do this all at once, my browser crashes (or usually does when making long posts) and I rather not deal with that right now, even if the message does submit.

So here is 1 of 4 to begin.
Have your Notepad handy and fingers near the Ctrl, C and V buttons.

Bronze Sansam (Burn)

Quantity: 1 gram
Conjuring: +120
Divination: +150
Enchantment: +90
Power: +180

Bronze Sansam (Crush)

Quantity: 1 gram
Conjuring: +180
Divination: +240
Enchantment: +180
Power: +240

Bronze Sansam (Soak)

Quantity: 1 gram
Conjuring: +180
Divination: +270
Enchantment: +180
Power: +90

Bronze Sansam (Dessicate)

Quantity: 1 gram
Conjuring: +120
Divination: +240
Enchantment: +60
Power: +12
