Official FAQ's:
How do I earn plot prizes?
You can earn prizes in a number of different ways!
1 - Chapter rewards are given out for actively following the story along with the rest of Neopia during the three-week time period over which each chapter is released.
2 - Some prizes are earned by playing and advancing through specific minigames or Battledome challenges (or donating your time to the Neopian Hospital)
3 - Hidden trophies or fearless deeds that can be acquired through acts of valour going above and beyond that of ordinary Neopets.

How often will new content be released?
There will typically be new content of some kind appearing weekly! However, since many Neopians live busy lives, you won’t be penalized for not visiting every single day new content is released.
Content will be released in the form of Chapters spread over three-week periods, during which everyone can still catch up on content and collect full rewards! It’s only after each chapter ends that you will lose out on exclusive prizes. So you’ll want to make sure you are all caught up on the last day of every chapter!

Do I have to participate in the Battledome Challenges?
Heavens no! Some of us are pacifists, born without a violent bone in our body, better suited to helping than hurting. This is why all Battledome challenges will also be accompanied by the option to instead have your pets donate their time to the Neopian Hospital’s efforts to treat those injured in the ongoing scuffles. You can learn more about the details of donating your pet’s time to the Neopian Hospital once the battles begin!

Can I catch up on Chapters I may have missed after the three-week period during which they were playable?
Yes! Even if you miss multiple chapters, you can always jump back in and catch up with the rest of Neopia. Whether they may have contained minigames or Battledome challenges, you can still participate in all of the fun that comes along with a plot. You might miss out on some exclusive prizes, but you will still be rewarded for your efforts in other ways.

What if I accidentally skip through dialogue or am confused about where to go next?
No need to fret! If you missed dialogue or forgot an important detail, you can always access the handy-dandy story tab of the plot hubpage to review previous scenes or chapters.
If you are still having trouble figuring out where to go next, check the plot hubpage! Characters and hints there might help point you in the right direction. Dialogue will often appear on the hubpage, but sometimes you might need to travel somewhere specific in Neopia first before it starts!

How long does the plot last?
Following the greying out prelude, the plot officially began on June 17th 2024 when Meridell was greyed out overnight. Some seers have predicted it will end around a year later 2025, but no one really knows for certain!

What exactly is a plot?
Plots are expansive storylines that unfold on a grand community-wide scale. These narratives are usually centred around character arcs and momentous developments, sometimes with the potential to alter the course of Neopian history itself…
Since plots are long-running global affairs, they coincide with seasonal events (which can be related to the events of the plot). As the steadily evolving story progresses through comics and the dialogue system, you will also encounter new:
Community activities!
Minigames!
Puzzles!
Battledome challenges!
Prizes!

Will there be any trigger warnings for sensitive content?
We understand that certain themes may be triggering for some individuals, and never want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. For this reason, we want to preemptively highlight that this plot will involve some potential triggering topics. Instead of shying away from them, we have chosen to let our own experiences with these themes steer us in incorporating what we feel are meaningful and important topics into this plot and the larger Neopian world. For your awareness and personal curation, we’d like to inform you that some of the themes The Void Within will explore include: mental health, abandonment, identity, community, family, and exclusion/inclusion.
Although some of these topics can be difficult to address, our team feels it is crucial that our stories and characters come from real places and real people. As we delve deeper into the void throughout the course of this plot, there may be some dark corners waiting around the winding path to come. Please remember that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and keep in mind Neopia is a place of passion and hope. This is a digital world built on Neofriends and Guilds that spawned a sometimes chaotic yet always beautiful sanctuary of both escape and belonging for a vast community. We hope you will stick around with us to the very end of our tale, as we will need every person who has ever called this world home to band together if we are to truly restore Neopia to its former colourful glory!

Void Collection FAQ's
What is the Void Essence Collection Activity about? What does it have to do with the plot?
Dr Landelbrot is conducting a vital scientific experiment into detritus that’s seeping from the void rift fracture that has been dubbed as ‘Void Essence.’ As part of the plot, you can collect this essence across Neopia land maps to help with his research and get rewards!

Can you give me a hint of where the void essences will spawn?
We don’t want to give too much away! But…void essences will pop up on land maps that are getting affected by the void. So make sure to follow the story!

How long will the event last?
The Void Essence Collection Activity will run from June 27th to the end of the plot! Day 1 lasts 1.5 days to give extra time to collect the first set of essences.

What is the timer for?
The timer is specifically for the Weekly Bonus reward and resets every week! This is not tied to the community goals.

Can I collect essences from past days?
No, you will not be able to collect essences from past days.

What prizes can I get and when?
You can get plot points for gathering individual essences, additionally, if 80% of available essences are collected in a week, you can also get a weekly bonus prize! This includes plot points and 1 random item from the Void Essence Collection Prize Pool.
There are also community goals that the community can work towards to get extra special prizes as well! In order to be eligible for the prizes you’ve had to have collected essences during the milestone goal period.

Will the Void Essence Weekly Bonus prize pool change throughout the plot?
Yes! The prize pool will grow as each new act is introduced!

How can I track my weekly progress?
You can visit the home tab on the Plot Hub page to view your progress towards the weekly bonus prize!

How can I track the progress towards the community goal reward?

No, community goals are stretch goals separate from the weekly bonus and will be ongoing throughout the plot.

Is there a prize pool for the community goals?
No, the community goal prizes are a specific prize participating players will get. Once a community goal has been achieved you’ll see it unlock in the community goal pop up!

Can I do this activity on my side accounts too?
No. Side accounts can’t participate in this activity or any activity that rewards Neopoints or prizes.

Can I do this activity on my side accounts?
No.

Is there any limitations on volunteering for shifts?
The Volunteer Centre has a daily cap at 200 plot points. This is to help with gameplay and plot point balancing, although you can continue to still get prizes.

Can I volunteer for past fights I missed or finished?
Once a fight becomes available in the battledome you can continue to volunteer a shift for that fight.

Can I have pets participate in battledome fights and volunteer at the hospital?
One pet can’t fight in the battledome and volunteer a shift at the NeoHospital. But you can have different pets doing one activity. For example, you can have one Neopet fighting in the Battledome and another at the Neohospital.

There isn’t a cooldown period after a battledome fight, so if you’d like your Neopet to volunteer after fighting you can do that as well.

Does the NeoHospital give out different prizes than the battledome fights?
It sure does! You’ll be able to get different types of prizes for volunteering along with plot points.

My Neopet is in the Neolodge can I still have them volunteer?
Yes! Even if your Neopet is in the Neolodge you can have them volunteer.

How long is a volunteering shift? Can I cancel a shift if I need my Neopet to battle?
A volunteer shift is 6 hours, 1 shift = 1 battledome fight skipped. A shift can be canceled but if you do you will not get plot points or prizes.

When does volunteering start?
As soon as the plot fights become available in the battledome you’ll be able to have your Neopets volunteer at the NeoHospital.

What is the NeoHospital about? What does it have to do with the plot?
During Plot: The Neopian Hospital has teamed up with the Neopian Pharmacy to help those caught up in the attacks or adjusting to being greyed out permanently. However, they will need assistance to keep up with the influx of new patients! That’s why they are asking Neopets from all walks of life to donate their time to the ongoing efforts to treat those injured in the attacks across Neopia.

Can I play this game on my side account?
No. Please don’t use side accounts to play any activities with prizes, plot points or neopoints.

What kind of prizes will I get for playing?
You’ll get plot points and a random item from the prize pool!

Will this game be available after the plot?
Yes! After playing through the plot version of the game you’ll be able to play this game as a daily when the chapter ends.

Does the puzzle solution have to be specific?
Each puzzle has multiple solutions and does not need to be a specific one!

Where am I supposed to connect the tubes?
Connect the tubes from the opening and closing tubes on the screen, how they are connected doesn’t matter as long as it flows through the opening to closing tubes.

How do I know if the tube is in the right position?
Each tube will be illuminated with purple light as they are slotted into the correct place and void essence begins to flow freely through it.

How do I play the game?
The goal of the game is to correct the flow of void essence through the void dampener. Different shaped tubes will spawn on the circuit board at the start of the game. Rotate the tubes and connect them in order to complete the puzzle in time to direct the flow of void essence. Please note every pipe that has void essence flowing through it cannot have any non-connected areas. Don’t want the void to flow out!

What is the Voidworks game about? What does it have to do with the Void Within plot?
Dr. Landelbrot needs help assembling the void dampener! While he puts on the finishing touches, assist him by directing the flow of void essence. Once it’s flowing through the entire framework of the dampener, the device can begin properly restraining and regulating the unstable energy.
