Hm, well, each person has a different way of introducing themselves 
One person may do so by flapping his arms around ten times while running around the forum singing their national anthem, while another person will give a very detailed story of their life, while a third person will simply go "Hi. I'm new. Welcome me."

When I first joined, I was very anxious not to appear as an ignorant newbie (which I was).
