Hi Empy, welcome to PPT!

Interesting enough International Talk Like A Pirate Day is next month (Tuesday September 19th) and you can be sure that PPT will be celebrating that day with pirate quotes.

Vikings were like pirates, only more land-based.
Pirates and Vikings would team up on the ninjas, then it'd be a showdown between the two.

Except that Vikings can for a few examples:

- survive in both extreme heat and extreme cold weather (pirates can't)
- Wield battlaxes
- Are generally larger
- Have Magic
- Can colonise your country
- Can get inside your country via longboat - as you mentioned, they did have land capabilities (pirates were stuck to the sea)

Knights aren't even a factor. They don't even exist =/
