I have started 2 seperate threads here and both have been deleted or vanished am I not allowed to start threads or am I doing something wrong?

One of your threads was moved to Polls.

I just noticed that. I am curious why are the mods so extra strict with that kind of stuff. I would not have concidred the question really a poll. a poll is like a yes/no or multiable choice of a few answers type question. I can see making sure the importiant topics stay on well topic but how can I even find what I want to look at if things are MOVED without me even knowing.... the only reason i knew where my thread went is because i searched users searched myself found my recent posts and then clicked on the thread title. If you move threads how is anyone to find them again if they wish to look at them if you dont make note of moving it or something? like lock the thread and say it will be continued in a different section if you think it must belong there. I'm sorry i know I havent really been here this long but I find it highly flustrating when I post something then cannot find it again to see if people have replied!

I hope this doesn't sound rude; but if you just posted in the right sections, the mods wouldn't have to move your threads.

Forums take a little getting used to, so don't get discouraged! Soemtimes the MOD activity seems like a mother picking your stuff up and now you can't find it, but really is needed for a clean and tidy place on a whole

I belong to other forums where the mods aren't picky at all as long as it says pg - 13 or so. I guess my biggest problem is just that I think it would be better to make mention that you moved the thread instead of it just not being where it was left and having to guess and search for where it was moved.

For all the threads we move, lock, delete, etc. it's quite difficult to let every single thread starter know the progress of their threads. As stampsyne said, it takes some getting used to, but hey, it's nothing personal! Just look around at the sub-forums a little more and think to yourself: where does my thread belong vs. where do I think more people will read it? Lots of people put threads in General Chat only because they know that it's seemingly the most popular, but there's plenty of activity everywhere else. Simply place your thread where it really belongs, and if not, no worries, because we've got it covered.

A suggestion: Just click on your name when you see it at the bottom of the main page, search for all posts by you and you should be able to find where all your posts have been, thus no need for searching around the forums too much
Or you can try clicking this:

And this is hardly the place for this thread. This should have been posted in Site Discussion where something like this could have been discussed. And thusly, it's going to be moved. (and it has been moved).
I would like to add, that every forum is different. We have our rules, other forums have theirs. PPT is run a certain way, other forums are run other ways. It does take some time to get used too, but we find this way works for us.
As shown if you go to your profile and look at your previous posts you can find any thread you've posted on, and that includes any thread you've created. You can easily find your other posts there rather then complaining about how your threads have been "lost".
Mods are people too. I was the one who moved your thread. And to me it was a poll. General chat is for discussion, and that question belonged in Polls. It was not a discussion question, it was a question. If you look at the polls questions, and then you look at general chat, in my estimation I placed it where I thought it belonged best.

Sorry to have caused problems.
*edit*
Also sorry to have ranted about it. I will blame it on the fact that I have not physically felt good since Thursday and am just now nearly feeling better. Not an excuse but the only reasoning I have. Umm that and I'm basicly a *newbie* to this forum since I only realized you had a forum when the Plot was goin on.
Again sorry for any/all of the inconvenance

Don't worry about it.
I believe you have made up for it by adding the word "flutsrating" to this culture's wordabulary.
Welldonulations!

frustrating
flustering
There take your pick. Next time I'll be sure to use spellcheck so the spelling Nazi doesn't get me.

If combining previous replies with this ... you don't really care about tact, do you? o.o

Since the topic has now deviated to something else entirely, it's likely best to lock it.
