In partial compensation for this year's
April Fools' style, we are now releasing a proper dark forum theme, named subHallow for no reason in particular.
It's a black/green theme using the same general layout as subSilver; see the three preview screenshots if you're still not convinced you need a change of scenery.
To alter your forum style, visit the
Board Preferences page of the User Control Panel.

Ohh, purrdy. You should make it the forced theme on Halloween.

I love it! I am viewing it right now.
The perfect style for Halloween and I love how it goes well with my set.

Too dark for me, but very nice. :)
I do miss that subred though! :P

Ooh, I really like this quite a bit
It is a bit difficult for me to tell if there's an unread topic or not as the colors are quite close on my computer. I like it nevertheless though

Yay! Dark!
I am LOVING this, even if it is slightly painful to look at.

Ha, my set looks terrible against that background (notably, you can't see the text XP).

Ahh! Me eyes!
But it is quite cool for Halloween. Is there going to be a Christmas style too?

I can. Are you using an older monitor?

It reminds me of Matrix. Which is a good thing, I guess.

It's... dark. And green. It reminds me of some random glowing toxic stuff. It's cool, I think. XD

Mm, the topic icons (rather than the board icons on forum index)? Sticky/announcements are probably the worst off, as the difference is mainly in the gray shading, which doesn't really fit to begin with. Am I describing the right icons?

Mm, black on dark green can do that. You could probably add a single-pixel dark gray border around individual letters?

I really have no plans in regards to that. Come to think of it, I really didn't have plans in regards to this, either. Perhaps there will, perhaps there won't.

Yep, it's fairly old. I'll try checking on my Mac someday to see if that one's any better.

Seconded. It's quite cool, really, but not something I'm likely to use much, as the Subsilver is just easier on the eyes. Then again, '
home of the invisible chicken likely to eat you' is just plain awesome.

Ah yes, it is mainly the topic icons
I do have a bit of trouble with the board icons, though that could definitely just be my eyesight
