This board is for anything to do with the Pink Poogle Toy Forum. If you have a question or want to suggest any ideas, then this is the place to do it.

I know many other forums enable users to include their age and gender in their profile (I don't mean the profile page, I mean the part on your post. I don't know what that thing is called, forgive me.), and it'd be nice to be able to do the same here. It would, of course, be optional. So far as I know there isn't any sort of difficult or tedious coding involved...Is this possible to add?

I don't like the idea of an age option. It's one thing to state it in a thread, but it's another thing to have it as a field that everyone can see in every post you make (even if it is optional.)

Age = Bad. Many many reasons for that, which I won't go into.
The gender thing is added on with a hack/mod - it was on the other forum, but I don't think you'll see it here. Basically since it takes time to do, and there's no real point since these are only "Stand-In" forums.

My guess it that they'll wait untill the status of the backup database is confirmed -- it would be no point adding stuff to the temp forums if it would only last a week untill the backup is restored.

Yeah, I noticed that too... *is already missing miniscule gender icons*
But age? No. Simply for personal privacy and safety.

Bah. Right on. I keep forgetting these are temp forums.

Well looks like the gender thing has been added after all.
Now all you need to do now to see your gender on the Temp Forums is:
Note: This step by step guide is for anyone who doesn't know how to and wants to change their gender from None Specified to whatever gender they are.
1: Click Profile. This will allow you edit your Profile
2: Scroll down to Gender: and click Male or Female(Depending on what gender you of course) but be warned you will not be able to select None Specified(if you don't want tell everyone on the Temp Forums after you select your gender.
3: Finally hit the Submit button (Now the Temp Forums will show your gender when you or someone else views your profile and it will be above the date you joined on when you or someone else view your post in a topic.)

*ticks gender mod off list*
Now, all thats left is USERGROUPS *runs off to find Yukio*
They also re-added the Online/Offline (see below posts next to the profile button)

But...does this mean...the real forums are never coming back?
*goes off into a corner to cry*
*comes out 30 years later and realizes that nobody else cared*
*feels stupid*

Robin, have you been egging Yukio on?
I really want the old forums back. But I've said that three times in the last two days, so I'll shut up until next week. ^__^
On the other hand, if usergroups are implemented, I have a word to say about Outkasts.

I'd like the usergroups back too. A few of them I'm not fussed about, but I'd like a couple of them that I posted in reguarlly (eg. Divas).

Yeah, I spotted that...it's a bit different to the old forums though, isn't it? I remember the online/offline button being in the same column as the avatar was...

Yeah, having the Divas back would be great...I posted there a lot too.

Haha, the main reason that I'm kinda nostalgic about the old forums is that I've forgotten to save all of my usergroup rules- including Battle of the Sexes (but I don't know whether that'll be started up again or not). ><
Since it's pretty unlikely that the old forum'll come back (I'm already used to this one anyways), looks like I'll have to rewrite a few. It's all good though, I'd still like having the Guys group back.
I'm just wondering now whether the subforum hack'll be back or not. The only public forums that used it were the BD (war forum, but the war's over) and WG&C (split games and contests into two).

I like the gender idea but age. . .some of us perfer NOT to tell our age!

Gender is in there already, Age is not going to happen.
