i have been unable to access PPT or the PPT forums for, i believe, four days now!
every time i tried, i would get a "page not found" error. what the heck? i tried it from two different computers, both PCs, both using internet explorer.
have any other IE users had problems getting to PPT or the forums?
i'm glad to be back, at any rate.

I wonder if it was an ISP problem rather than a browser problem, I've used IE occasionly to reach the main the past few days and it had worked fine.

When you say two computers. Were they both on the same internet connections or providers?

I once had that problem. I think I tried clearing my Temporary Internet Files, did a computer reset, and it started working again. Not quite sure. :\

Its the Gremlins, mate.
Nobody knows why it happens every now and again, but it happens to the best of us. I know for a fact that Igg had this same problem just a couple of days ago, and Ive had it in the past myself.
It always seems to fix itself too..
Gremlins I tells ya

Probably Gremlins that you set lose, Jim.
Anyway skizzy, if it happens again for some odd reason, clear your temporary internet files and restart your computer. That worked for me. That, or give your computer a hug...May sound strange, but sometimes it works. XD And what do you have? Dial-up? Broadband? I'll assume both computers have the same internet provider, whatever that may be.
Or if it is Gremlins, then just find yourself a mallet and hit the Gremlins over the head....

ah, yes. my computer in my dorm room, and then the computer in the RA office, downstairs. all using the same provider.
could that be it? could there have been a firewall or something? i know nothing about computers.

I'v also had that problem...
I'v tried both computers at my house, which basicly, have the same IP address, so that probably explains that...
But not why it felt like I was banned...

Okay, Jim. Don't feed the Gremlins after midnight, don't let them touch water, and they hate sunlight or bright lights. I think that's the major things, right?
That's strange... its never happened to me before. But why did it do that? Maybe it was the Gremlins... It's all your fault, Gizmo!
