Flood control engaging when you try to edit a post is very rare indeed.Zero wrote:If I make a mistake in a post, I want to edit it before anyone sees.
This is just a handy by product of flood control, not its intended action. And definitely not something to complain about.Zero wrote:If anyone double-posts, there's a little X in the corner of your post where you can delete it if it's the last post (unless you post at the same time someone else posts, but the chances of that happening are very small).

Perhaps you should try using the "preview" option more often. Proofreading is quite usefull as well. ;PZero wrote:I think it's dumb. If I make a mistake in a post, I want to edit it before anyone sees.

I don't always catch it when I use preview. Most of the time I catch it right when I hit "submit" and I right away go to the "edit" button, fix my mistake, and that message pops up. Meh, I guess I'll get used to it.

That's the same for me.

The amount of times I have needed to edit something after straighjt after posting is quite high and it's really annoying when you have to wait about 10 seconds when tonnes of people could be reading a big mistake.
