In the music board can we post up music that we play, for example, say I play the guitar and want to see if anyone else does, do I post it in the music forum, or the polls/discussion forum?

If you're polling whether anyone plays guitar, keyboard, double bass etc. You post that in Misc. Polls.

If you're posting about a board specifically on whether maple fretboards are better than rosewood for a bright, twangy tone, and type of strings for guitars. That sort of hobby-specific topic goes in Abbey Road.

Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't that be better in Entertainment Polls? oO

Not really. You'd be discussing the pros and cons of maple or rosewood, perhaps for purchase. Just like discussing whether you'd want a Gibson Explorer or Fender Stratocaster for lead guitar. It needs more in-depth than just a poll.

i'm gonna agree with paul here. if its literally "do you play guitar?" then it would be a poll, but if you were asking for advice or opinions or want to have a discussion about it then it should be allowed in abby road. whats the difference to that and a thread about a band?
