Pardon me if this has already been explained, which I'm fairly sure it has, but...what's with all the topic-cloning?

Huh? Details please . I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the term topic-cloning, examples might help.

As with any website, there are some times when PPT "spazzes". By this, it goes down for a very short period of time, and when it comes back up, everything is normal again. Except, however, if you were posting a message/topic at that point, it sometimes makes two of the message/topic, essentially "cloning" it.

That's what I've experienced anyway.

When PPT spazzes for me I just get a 404 and my topic/post doesn't appear at all.

Yeah, the cloned topics are posting during the resets. In this case, a topic in General was cloned because the poster was on right at the time that we had reset.

It's more of a before & after thing rather than during thing.

Is it normal to happen days later? Unless I missed it when it was cloned the day off, but I swear it just appeared now and it was originally Nov 9 posting x_X

I think there are forum goblins, or the forum is taking a mind of it's own and will soon suck us all in or mess with the security system in our houses and lock all doors and windows so we can't leave.
