I have a PPT banner with "pinkpt.com" on my pets page. I was reading through the ToS and FAQ of the ToS and found this..



PPT has a shout box.. err.. therefore this means I technically should not be placing a PPT banner (which has the PPT url on it) on my pets page? yes/no?

I seriously doubt Neopets will track me down and freeze me just for that and I know they know PPT and im pretty sure they think its a good safe site but still...?

Yea but I am wondering if a banner with the link on it could be counted as ""linking""?

Could someone with more brains in this dept then me take a quick read and tell me what they think? Might have to email Neopets about this one just to be sure cos im sure alot of people have PPT banners lieing around their accounts!

If the banner is actually a link (a href tags around img src tags) I'd have said it probably falls within that particular term. I know the term exists but I've never heard much about TNT pursuing that term very much.

TNT implemented a load of coding awhile back so you couldn't put non-Neopets links in various places but that's about as far as I've ever seen it taken.

Just a guess, but I'd say TNT would probably clear descriptions and give a warning before freezing.

Good question actually. I haven't had any complaints from anyone actually - then again, there's lots of people that have links to other sites as well that have their own bulletin board system, IRC chat rooms and tag boards and they don't seem to be penalized.

Ok thats good then, I will leave it for now but I might send Neopets a quick email just to confirm, will let you know if I ever get a reply lol
