Lately a lot questionable posts have shown up on the forums that are for the most part SPAM bots. While we can't prevent them completely, these threads only need to be delt with by removing them.
However, that's not the main problem. I've noticed that these are very rarely being reported to us but rather "bumped up" by members and are making it even more of a hassle to deal with. These posts are not only along the lines of SPAM themselves, but are also considered backseat moderating. Regardless, in both cases this is not acceptable behavior.
If you do come across one of these threads, please alert a moderator, GM or admin (even if they don't moderate the board in question) of the thread through PM rather than adding your two cents on it and adding unesessary attention to the thread. It only takes as much time to PM a member of the team as it does to reply to a thread. We're pretty good in getting the heads up amongst the other staff and can get these threads off the forum quickly.
