What's with the name changes and new boards? Am I going crazy and missed an announcement about it all (new GC subforum excepted), have I gone back and/or forth in time and missed it happening, or are the admins being sneaky and playing games with us?

I quite liked the idea of Welcome & Monster Sightings. I was always living in hope that one day, we would finally have a monster sighting at PPT D:

I also liked the Abbey Road title. I felt cultured when I saw that title and made the musical connection Fun fact: To continue with the Beatles tradition, apparently when Fergie stayed in Sydney last year, her alias was 'Penny Lane'. Real original, Ferg.

Either way, is there a reason for it? I'm not sure if I was the only one, but I found the board names quite quirky and individual to PPT (plus the descriptions always helped out if I didn't get the point. Does anyone actually know what the previous Computer Help description said?)

For some reason, Neopets Discussion just doesn't do it for me. It sounds way too formal - just saying Neopets is enough!

Guilds, Beauty Contest also used be its own board before it become part of Bill.

Promotions & Plugging used to be under the PPT section.

We also used to have Mod Applications and Issues as another board which would late become Information back when we had subRed.

Times change, features change (e.g. Everyone used to be able to change their usernames at Christmas and Halloween on old PPT forum databases but nowadays only the PPT Staff can do so.), boards change and even usernames change so if for example Ye Olde PPT Gallery becomes Art Gallery or if The Locker Room became Sports Discussion it won't make the boards that they are any different than they were.

The only things in my honest opinion that have really changed on PPT over the years is the attitude of users as they have matured on PPT as they got older and the fact that Kym has a music carrer.

The big question on my mind is what would happen to PPT if Kym does get discovered internationally and if he ended having not much time on PPT because it? I mean I do wish Kym the best on getting discovered internationally but I am at the same time worried about what PPT would be like if Kym became less active on PinkPT and if something went wrong with PPT during that time.

Somewhat related to this topic--I keep thinking about the subforum "Neopets Reporting." Its name is a little bit vague. On Neopets itself, "reporting" is a bad thing, so I look at "Neopets Reporting" and think it's for bug reports or to alert members about scams targeting PPTers. Maybe the name should be changed so it's a little more intuitively related to Neopets dailies? It's not a big deal, but I figured if a name change now would keep mods from having to move posts out of General Chat quite so often, then it would be worth suggesting.

Easy. I'd hire staff as I'm doing now to run certain aspects of the site. The entire website is pretty much self-sufficient at the moment and if there's any situation where I find my time decreasing, then I'll start training people to take over various functions of the site.

I've got most site updating things down to a pat now anyway so I'm pretty efficient with updating PPT.

Finally, I'd never give up PPT. It's like a baby now... and there's too much of a community here now to turn my back on it.
