Hi there,

I was going to PM this suggestion to the mods of Sig Requests, but then I fouind out that there were a bunch of you wonderful people out there so I figured it might be easier if I were to broach it in this manner.

Many request topics mention in the titles how many requests pending or pickups are in their threads. I feel this wouls be very helpful in the Open requests as it is browsed by many people. When requests are at the bottom of a page they can easily be forgotten about if artists aren't aware that requests are still available there (*puppy dog eyes*). I also feel it would be easier for people waiting for requests to be filled.

Just an idea I had in between cookies and milk. And bean soup. mmm. oh the beaniness of the soup.

Sincerely,
Steven

This is a good idea, but I doubt it will work as well as you think.

What if someone requests while the artist is offline? Then, the pending tab could read '1', when really 4 were pending. Assuming you mean to show this in the topic title.

This is a really good idea, but as stated before, probably won't work.

For one, the moderators of that board aren't on 24/7, and they have other boards to moderate. Yes, there's also the administrators, but they have other stuff to do too. ;)

Of course the title wouldn't be up immediately. But even if the title was changed two hours later, even two days later, there wouldn't be requests sitting around for a week.

I know the moderators have lots to do (and we love you for it), but with four mods plus the Super mod team, I'm sure someone will remember to check it every once in a while, n'est-ce pas?

Haha, now I understand why you've made this topic...

This could be taken into consideration. The Open Requests thread works this way- if your request isn't completed in two weeks or so, then we'd just remove it and you could request again or elsewhere. You could also quote yourself too. Doesn't satisfy everyone though, could have revision.

But then again...two things. Some people just don't want to complete some of the requests, they could be rather difficult or they could have some other reason. Also, it's virtually, at the moment, two (out of four and more) mods that control Open Requests, so that could serve a problem in terms of updatedness. I'll bring it up with Marissa anyways.

Sorry if I'm not making sense, I need a break after a few boring hours of lectures. :P

Well, if you don't think it's too much work, then I'd go for it.
You can check the thread and see how many pending/finished requests there are, then PM me the information. I'd be happy to edit the subject line.
Since it was your idea, I'm sure you can remember to do it, n'est ce-pas?
