Constantly getting logged out

Sun May 12, 2024 2:48 am

For a while, I've been getting logged out. At first it was every few days, but lately it's been just about every day, and today it was both times I checked in here. I do have my password saved, but if I use that, it doesn't check the box to log in automatically (which used to keep me logged in for longer). So I have to actually enter my password every time hoping I'll stay logged in.

This is the only site that does this to me, and it's not because I'm logging in from other devices (I haven't even turned my computer on today).

Is there any way we can fix this to keep people logged in for longer/automatically log them in? Thanks!

P.S. Please don't spend too much time on this -- no more than we would lose from having to log in! Thanks for everything you do to keep us up and running.

That's strange. Maybe clear your cookies/site stuff for pinkpt and see if that helps.

The database had been crashing for a while, but it seems to be back to stable again.

Let me know if it continues and I'll take a look.

It hasn't happened today. I'll try clearing my cookies the next time it happens and see if that helps.

I'm hoping it's not happening because someone else is logging in from elsewhere, but I figure if that were happening, they'd do something besides just log in. I guess changing my password would be the next logical step if cookie clearing doesn't work.

FYI - Today, the sessions database was marked as crashed.

I also purged the cache and all sessions for good measure.

You most likely needed to log back in afterwards.

Ironically, I didn't have to! I cleared my Chrome cache, and that seems to have helped.
