Personaly, I like both a lot. Winter and summer are both equally cool in my opinion.

You know what made me mad last night? They switched up the rules on America (for gymnastics) so the men had to prepare an entirely new routine in less than 2 days. Of course, they didn't get very good scores. Sorry, I won't go too into this, but it got me pretty mad.

I like gymnastics and divings pretty cool. One thing that kind of makes me mad is that Table Tennis is in the Olympics. There's a ton of sports that are more of a sport than Table Tennis. Like cheerleading.

I love soccer guys.

Table tennis isn't a sport? How so?

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

i dont really see ther point of it all :) ...but my fav. one is the lugeing in winter..or whatever
but what would be fun to watch would be world hide and seek. you have trees and all the's really cool laces to hide, then you pick one country to findthe other countres...that would be cool

*shrugs* Table tennis is a sport. It tests agility and hand-eye coordination. As for competitive cheerleading, it might not be popular around the world (as other sports), so they don't include it. American football isn't included in the Olympics because it's mainly played in the US.

Set by robot. Van Den Hoogenband is the best name, ever.

I think a lot of people don't think table tennis is a valid sport because they've never seen a real match between real athletes. It's nothing like the table tennis you play with your family in your basement/gym.

My favorite events to watch are swimming, diving, synchronized diving, and gymnastics. When the athlete(s) performs their dive/routine perfectly, it makes me happy and want to say, "Yay" in a very contented manner.

Same with badminton.. It is often mocked as a backyard picnic diversion, but between real athletes, it is on a completely different level. My gym teacher reported not being able to see the shuttle until the dropshot.

Another possible reason why competitive cheerleading may not be an olympic sport is the cultural and linguistic issue. Judges may have to study and understand the cheers, their music, etc.

Even playing against somebody that takes badminton as a team sport is a nightmare, let alone olympic level athletes.

Okay, I admit it. I'm watching the gymnastics preliminary (I think) right now, and our team is doing super in some events, and not-so-super in others. I think that our best event would be the balance beam (wh00t to Carly Paterson!) and our worst would be the floor excercise. Just my opinion.

Θ There's theta, Lillie. I found it in the character map in system tools. :D.

I've missed a bunch of events. -_-
I've been busy playing tennis lately.

Edit: Here's the lower case Theta: θ

Im too lazy to read all of the posts but i want to brag a little :)

My water polo coach is Chris Segesmen (last name probably spelled wrong). He plays for the US water polo team. Its cool i actually know someone in the olympics! Theres just one bad thing: since my coach is so good my practice will be hard :(

Well you guys (and gals) can continue to talk about whatever you were talking about :)

BTW table tennis ROCKS!

Since these are no longer temporary forums, I will update my signature.

*boing*
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm totally sports obsessed...remember the usergroup?
Anyway, when I'm not online, I am glued to my television screen watching the all-day coverage of the Olympics.
So far have been impressed with Ian Thorpe and the South African 4x100 relay team were amazing.
The basketball Puerto Rico vs USA was incredible...
Synchronised diving was cool, especially since we actually picked up a (silver) medal!
The 3 day eventing is going well for GB, we're top of the standings with a 2nd place in the individual competition.
Very proud of Ben Ainslie too.
