I get allergies to metals except silver, gold or surgical steel.
So I can only wear silver earings.
My left ear is peirced 6 times and the right is peirced 3 times.
I'm getting a scaffold peircing done at the top of the right one this weekend, I hate getting peircings done I'm such a wuss when it comes to peircings.

Awesome. :D The same thing happened to me during the first year after I'd gotten my ears pierced. I had a terrible infection, and my ears swelled over the backs of the earings. My mom thought the backs had just dropped off, and so did I... It was heck trying to take the earrings themselves out. Finally one day my mom was looking at my ears again and noticed the backs poking partway out of them, and she managed to get one of them out, but I had to go to the doctor and get my ear actually cut open so that I could get the other back out. Quite painless, luckily. My holes closed up after that, and I was so mad... But I got them repierced about six months later, and now everything's fine.

*cringes* The idea of getting my ears pierced never did appeal to me. =P Maybe it's because I kinda have a phobia against infections and pain or any sort. XDD

But anyhow, you sound like you're looking forward to it. =) Go for it!

That's certainly a lot of piercings. My friends tell me that if you don't wear earings, the hole fuses together after a while. That's so bizarro @_@

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

You pierce your ears when you were IN THIRD GRADE? MY GOD! I'm in 5th grade, so you must've been younger than me! MY GOD! *faints*

I wish you well.

I got my ears done for the first time when I was 7, I had an allergic reaction from the earrings and had to let the holes close. I got my ears repierced when I was 13 at a mall booth. As long as I wear silver and nickel-free earrings I don't have any problems.

I've seen babies with pierced ears.

You see alot of them in the town I live. I think it's horrible and very irresponsible to pierce a baby's ears. A baby can't look after it's piercings.

I love piercings. I have two in each ear, but I hope to get more. :) They've never been too bad with infections, if anything went wrong they just went back to normal when I have good earrings in.

My first ones were done when I was 10 or so, I had to get them repierced later I think, and then I got my second ones for my 13th birthday.

I first got my ears pierced when I was about 6, but they got really infected and my ears grew over the backs. Then I got the pierced again about 2 years ago, and they've been fine...I only wear gold, sterling silver, and earrings for sensitive ears, though they bother me if I wear them for too long.

Though it does stop the kids from freaking out if they get it later on in life, because they don't actually know what's going on.

Most parents would probably be responsible enough to take care of their kid's piercings, though.

I got my ears pierced when I was three, but they were always infected and I had to let them close up. I got them repieced when I was in fifth grade (so I was 10) at Claires, and they haven't gotten infected since. =D
I don't want to get a second piercing. Personally, I think it looks tacky. And if you leave the earring out for too long, yes the holes will fuse together. -shudders-

good luck with your new piercings. just remember to twist your earrins like they say and make sure you clean your ears with the stuff they give you.

i've got 2 holes in each ear, the first were done when i was 10 and the second when i was 16. the first lot aren't completely even in my ears, so me and the girl doign the second set spent ages working out where to put the second holes. i also didnt look after my second piercings as well, and they got a bit painful sometimes. they're fine now, except when i forget to put earrings in for a few weeks/months, then it's really weird, coz i can usually put earrings in the holes on the first day, but then if i take them out and leave it a day or 2 it's really hard to get earrings in again, almost like they've closed up. i had that problem last week, i just COULD NOT get an earring into my second hole on my right ear, i spent sooo long trying. but eventually i gave up and i tried the next day and it went in fine :S weird!!

anyway, i'm waffling now! lol

but yeah, when you get your studs out, if you dont like sleeping with studs in (which i dont, it jurts my ears), i wear hoops (small ones) because they don't hurt to sleep in. i also find they're better for making sure it doesnt heal up cos they're easier to move coz you can play with them and stuff much easier. i'm alwasy flipping my hoops :)

Good luck! Did you get them pierced, yet? You must post pictures, peirced ears are key-ute! I got mine pierced as young as I could get them, it's sort of an Ecuadorian family tradition thing. Even though I'm half-Irish. :P I didn't really start using them too much until this past year, when I developed a sense of style. You have to update us soon!
