Your video and sound is integrated and doesn't work, even though the correct drivers are installed (or so you say). Using a secondary video card on a PCI slot does not work either. You said you could only access the BIOS for a second, but now apparently it lasts long enough for you to change some settings. For that your computer cannot work properly because of these integrated parts, your motherboard is near its death.

Then I will have to say that your system is shorted/fried. You will have to get a new system.

It was a different menu I got into before.
People said the wrong button to get into BIOS.

Different brand of computers have different keys (almost always F keys) to access the BIOS, with IBM's I think its F1 and with Compaqs I believe it to be F8, I can't quite remember though. But uh...did you get to your BIOS and fix the problem I guess is what I'm wondering.

That's weird. Perhaps a virus got into your BIOS and deleted it?

The BIOS is a chip on the motherboard. I don't believe a virus can access that.

So I probably have to get a new computer?

Most likely. Get one built. You're going to have a hard time finding a computer that isn't Wind. XP. Or, get a Mac.

(hey, Adam. Congrats. You now have your own thread.)

My brothers computer is built.
It's the worst computer in the house.

I'm currently talking to you from a homebuilt. I think it depends on who builds it and what it's installed with.

Computers you build yourself are much better than brand-name computers when you have complete understanding of what you are doing.
