The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Which part is easier? I'd had to say Melody is definately easier, but Harmony is a lot more fun to sing.

Melody, when I can find a song that's not too high (which is becoming a challenge).

Both, it comes naturally to me.

Melody is definitely easier to sing. But harmony is far more interesting. I love descant parts especially, they're so much fun!
Sometimes I get the feeling a song "needs" a certain harmony note, and I always sing that extra note, just because. Like Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence." One of the greatest pop songs ever, but it needs a third harmony part. Otherwise it's like having two slices of bread without peanut butter - all those parallel fifths running around, framing the chord but leaving it sounding hollow. So whenever I listen to that song, I always sing what I think should be the third harmony part.

...
Whats the difference?
I am so out of it.

Heck yeah melody! Harmony makes it sound great and can be fun to do, but melody is by far the easiest.

I can't really sing that well, but I'd say both. XD I voted for Harmony though.

Er, I can sing both, after a fashion. Can't get very high on descant harmonies though >.<

Harmony. Same when you talk about piano scales

Due to the fact that I don't and can't sing, I went by how easy the parts are to play (on various woodwinds).
In that case, it's usually the melody, especially for songs that everyone has heard many times. When playing the harmony it's often a lot easier for me to mess up, partly because after awhile (if it's a long song) I'll lose my bearings and forget what measure I'm supposed to be on.

I can pick out a note and sing melody to things very easy but I love singing both, but I like country music better so I'm more of a melody alone kinda person.

I don't sing by any standards.
I play the saxophone (I won't specify which. I used to play Alto and have recently switched to Tenor), and I've found that it's EASIER to play the harmony. Granted, it's not as much fun sometimes (I get a lot of "bum..bum..bum..bum" parts), but it's easier.

Oh my GAWD. Melody, definitely melody. Sometimes harmony works, but for the majority, I can only *remember* melody. It's not that I can't sing harmony, but it's so dang hard to remember when someone near you is singing the melody. My dang choir teacher always teached us the harmony, and then it's in my head, but then he'll teach the melody and I'll go nuts trying to remember it.

Melody's easiest for me, I've found.

It's easier to sing the melody, but the odd time I enjoy the challenge of either making up a harmony, or singing along with a harmony.
