GAME IS COMPLETE
WEREWOLF: VERSION 1.0

Synopsis:
Werewolf (which is a variant of the game 'Mafia') is a role-play and strategy game. You must work together with your fellow members to find-and-eliminate the wolves who have hidden themselves in the group. First team to eliminate the other team will be the winner.

Roles:
There will only be 3 roles this game:

* TOWNSPERSON: Nothing special, just a regular person.
* MYSTIC: Has the ability to dream about 1 person per execution day and to see whether s/he is a WEREWOLF or TOWNSPERSON
* WEREWOLF: The 2 werewolves will know each other and work as a team. They will maul 1 person every execution day.

Gameplay:

This game cycles in a course where 1 game day = 2 real time days.

In other words:

The first day of "DAYTIME" is meant for discussion of who you think is the werewolf, based on whatever info you can gather from the thread / personal chats.
You can use whatever you wish to discuss this game, but ideally try and keep it on the boards.

The second day of "DAYTIME" will be referred to as "EXECUTION DAY". On this day, at 8:00 PM NST(Pacific), you will decide who to execute (although you do NOT have to). The wolf and mystic will make their move on 8:30 at this day.

PM your votes to me (ScottNak) on who you think is the werewolf.
Votes will not be revealed until the actual execution. Which means, while you discuss you will not know how each other has voted.
However, just before i execute, you will know who voted for who. Ultimately, VOTES ARE NOT KEPT A SECRET.
You MUST make a vote by every execution day. You may only make 1 vote, but you may elect to vote for 'nobody' if you wish. You can also change your vote as much as you want until execution occurs.

The person who has at least 50% of the non-nobody votes will be executed. If there is a tie vote, no-one will be executed. Again, this takes place at 8:00 PM NST (Pacific)

At 8:30 PM NST, the wolves will maul their victim.
Immediately after, the mystic will have dreamt of the person and now know his/her true identity. This information is given via PM to the mystic.

RULES: (VERY IMPORTANT)

1. Roles are RANDOMLY ASSIGNED and will be given thru PM. Read it carefully!

2. Once you have been killed off, you are not allowed to communicate about secret info you have acquired during gameplay. You should not be talking about the game to anyone once you are dead.

3. Don't try and forward/quote/screenshot PM's or statements made by me. You can reiterate what i said to you, however.

4. Roleplay and have some fun! But remember, strategy planning is also as important (if more) than the roleplaying.

5. There are no hints ANYWHERE by ANYONE at ANYTIME. Do not be fooled by outside distractions.

6. You need to be able to make a conscious effort to be online sometime inbetween the course of the 2 days of game play. I can't expect you to be on every hour of every day, but you should be able to drop by to keep up with the discussions.

7. Lying is going to obviously take a place in this game. Don't try and make people swear to anything for truth

8. BE ACTIVE! IF YOU CANNOT MAKE A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO PLAY THIS GAME, DON'T JOIN. I have the right to kill you off if necessary due to inactivity.
6:00 - 8:00 PM Activity on execution day is ideal, but of course, not all that important.
If you are in a different time zone, do not worry you have 2 days worth of time to discuss.

9. If you are confused about anything, contact me via PM, AIM, or MSN at any time.

10. Make sure to have fun. If this is popular/interesting more people, twists, and roles will be added for enjoyment!

MYSTIC: By 8:30 PM, you are required to send me a list of 3 names on people you wish to dream about. Whoever is on the top of your list (and alive) will be dreamt about, and you will learn his/her true identity

WEREWOLF: Similarly, you must send me a list of 3 of people, but of people you wish to MAUL. Whoever is on the top and alive, will be mauled.

If you end up as one of these characters, you will get this info again in your PM.

WINNING SCENARIO:

* Townspeople / Mystic: You kill all werewolves.
* Werewolves: Your werewolf numbers = townspeople numbers

Note: Even if you are dead... as long as your team wins, you are still a winner.

*Violations of rules will be handled appropriately (warning, modkill, ban)

In this version, there will be 15 people.
Of these 15, 2 of them will be wolves.

ScottNak approaches the townspeople very dusty and tired looking. "Have you guys finally decided on a person to kill? Because my gun really could use some action..."



"Oh wow! You guys actually decided on someone. Kugetsu, you have been chosen for execution by the people."

Kugetsu solemnly nods and utters, "Hopefully my death will lead you in the right direction..." ScottNak fires a silver bullet into his heart, and Kugetsu crumples to the ground.

The townspeople are horrified by what they have just done. There are no signs of fur or claws coming out, meaning one thing...
"Too bad, Kugetsu wasn't a wolf. Better luck next time! "

NIGHT HAS BEGUN

*Resists urge to say "I told you so!"*

ScottNak comes back in (a bit late), and quickly points out...

"Well, after your first execution... comes another mauling... and well, looks like there are only 11 of you left now."

ScottNak looks around to see who is missing, and notices something strewn across the jagged rocks on the outskirts of the island.

"Oh dear, this'll take some work taking Ammer out of those rocks. You guys just go back to thinking, I'll take care of this."

Next Excution takes place on WEDNESDAY, OCT 6th (NST)
Day 4 begins.

Well, well, I guess that was inevitable. The wolves may be cunning, but they cleared the second greatest suspect - Ammer (according to votes) of suspicion. Thank you wolves!

Yeah, they have cleared the two greatest suspects, and now I have no suspects left!

What about Wind? Two out of the three times, Wind voted for the one who was mauled. This round Wind did not vote at all, or it did not show up.

Uh-uh, I don't think so. Wind voted for Starchaser the first time round, but it was Matt who was mauled. The only time Wind voted for the mauled person was Cyanna.

Oh, as for not voting, I think he did not vote. I did not vote too, not that I didn't want to, but I lost track of time and before I knew it, execution day was over (living in different time zones is confusing). Not that it would make any difference, I couldn't have done anything to prevent Kugetsu's death.

What about you, Qanda? You seem a bit Werewolvey to me. xP

But yes, perhaps Wind. She does seem to be shying away from suspicion, eh? *Raises eyebrow* And with Cyanna... I mean, Cyanna was mauled. So meh.

Or maybe I'm looking too far into things again. >_<

Erm, how are you supposed to respond to outright confrontations? All I can say is that I am a townsperson, it's up to you whether you want believe me. Kugetsu tried to establish his innocence but few would believe him, and we ended up losing one of us. From now on we must be extremely careful who we vote for, since our numbers are dwindling and we won't survive if we kill each other plus having the wolves maul one person everytime.

Some quick math: 4 townspeople gone, 2 werewolves at large, 9 townspeople left (including the mystic, I suppose, since Scott would inform us if the mystic was mauled or executed). Despite the odds, the werewolves are gaining an upper hand. If we manage to get one, then the balance would tip in our favour (werewolves have to get their numbers to equal ours)

First Kugetsu dies *tear* I'm really sorry for you...
Second I forgot to vote. Well, it's actually a relief, since he was innocent. I didn't vote for any weird or secret reason, simply because I thought I still had 2 hours and I just log on...
Third, seems that now I'm the official suspect #1, and of course I have no proof that shows that I'm a villager.

Anyway, as Qanda pointed out, I voted only once for a mauled person (but I'm a she )

What about Sock, or Neopetsmom?
I've nearly-never seem Sock around, and Neopetsmom always voted for Kugetsu... sounds a bit weird, suspecting him so much (I think nearly everybody voted him just to kill someone, not because we thought he was a wolf)

I'm never around because my intelligence is lower than my shoe size. ;P I have no idea what's going on half the time, and I'm not on PPT enough. >_< But I am going to try to stick around more so I can make guesses that actually have a base.

Oh! I remember what had happened now. Wind had been the only one who voted on one person those two times she did, and I guess that had converted into my mind as the people who got mauled... sorry about that.

Add me to the list who forgot to vote. It wasn't this time, but the time before that.

Well I initially picked kugetsu to vote for simply because he posted early in the topic. I've played this game before and tow things have always been true. One, a disproportionate number of wolves post early in the game. I'm not sure why that it is. But, Ive seen may be 25 games played and bad guys post early most of the time (not all the time, but more often than would be predicted by their numbers). The second thing I've learned is that innocents benefit from executions. Waiting a day or so might be fine, but much beyond that and it gives the wolves too much of a headstart. So that is why I picked Kugetsu the first day.


At the end of the first day, there was no majority but there were more votes for kugetsu than anyone else so I didn't think it was likely that anyone else could get executed the second day and thought it made sense to build on that to get an execution. The second day he had the most votes but not enough to execute. Given that I didn't see it likely that anyone would really vote for anyone else on Day 3 and felt we needed an execution.

Now? I am not sure. The first 3 posters were kugetsu, Qanda and Wind.
