For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

Ah Kugetsu, I hope you voted for me just because you drew me from the hat, not because you're suspecting me...
Personally I chose Starchaser randomly, because the possibility that someone got +50% votes was very low.
Our only hope is the Mystic: teddymon is right, he (she?) must not reveal himself. But if he knows that a certain person X isn't a werewolf, X can't post on the board about the Mystic's dreams, or he'll get killed.
After the Mystic "clears" some villagers, they can work together to eliminate the remaining people...
Er... that was a bit confused...

Sorry I haven't posted here yet, I didn't realize it was going on. We should find out who the Mystic is, then bug them to dream about the person we thing is the werewolf! *Sees angry glares* Just a thought.

Hmm..I haven't got any suspects yet...
Will we know when a mystic has been killed?

All the mystic has to do is find out dream about random people and if they are innocent, he can add that person in his "safe" list, and they can form an alliance to vote for the people they think are werewolves. If he dreams of a werewolf, then... he would have to find some way to convince the others to vote for that person without giving away his identity.
An interesting thing though... the werewolves may start passing off as the mystic and pretend to dream of "innocent" or "guilty" people. Very interesting...

But they would draw attention to themselves, so the real mystic could decide to dream about them...

...and if one of the 'mystics' died, then everybody would vote for the phoney mystic. It all comes together

True, I didn't think of that. But the werewolf may PM people who they believe to be townspeople and tell them false info... this is getting more exciting and suspenseful by the second.

So basically this is slowly becoming a paranoid "You can't trust anybody" game.
Only two people have to be nailed. The majority of us is innocent so you have a 12 out of 14 chance that that PM or post is from a townsperson (I'm assuming the two wolves know each other of course) so we don't need to be so INSANELY suspicious and secreative of each other. Perhaps the more that is spoken out in the open strategy (save the mystic's dreams), the more we may be able to pinpoint the wolves' mauling behavior based on what everyone knows rather then what only a few select people know.

Yeah, you need a lie detector before you say anything XD
But it's the mystic that's really in danger. If they're mauled, then, basicly, we have no chance.

If the mystic knows someone isn't a Werewolf, and they PM/IM/whatever that person, though, as someone said, that person could think they're not the mystic, just someone pretending to be it, to find out what that person is, or a WW trying to deter their vote from the actual WW. Gah, this is so complicated.
Oh, and:
As a group, I think we should theorize as to who the Werewolves may be. After all. Tomorrow's vote shouldn't go that way (without there being someone killed- sounds morbid that I think someone should be, I know, but it would help if we managed to knock off a Werewolf, and if we don't, that's one less person that's a WW, anyway. Even if they are on our side. >_<).
Sooo... What does everyone think?
Fri Oct 01, 2004 8:08 pm
I think I can trust myself. Oh! Errrmm...
I think that we should at least half-trust what people say. There is always a chance that they are telling half-truths, or even outright lies, but we should at least give them the benefit of doubt.

You know, even after numerous, long msn convos, I still can't pinpoint much...but it's slowly becoming an obesession
Fri Oct 01, 2004 8:19 pm
Wow, I almost died. Anywho, I don't think posting our votes here would be intelligent. PMing members as others have said would be smarter. We would also need to know how to pinpoint the Werewolf. My vote was completely random, I didn't suspect Kugetsu of being the Werewolf. Anywho, I agree with ...Alex, any theories?
Wouldn't the werewolf be posting more often because of their great importance in the game?

Good point, but then, wouldn't they stay out of the main discussion so as to not leave any clues?
And the mystic - whoever they cleared last night, they should PM. Keep in contact. And keep dreaming about potential suspects. And if theyfind the werewolf, tell anyone they've cleared and keep voting for them.

Yeah, this game is very interesting and possibly addicting to me as well.
Yes Wind, you were the random one. I didn't feel like trying to guess who the werewolf was and accidently be right so they could decide to maul me to death.
Ohhhh Jelly's got some convo's going on. Interesting...
Yeah I mentioned something like this to a few people of my choice, if anyone tries to get someone to kill a person while faking as a mystic, they are a prime target to anyone.
