OK, I knew this would come eventually.
DS
Big Name Games (Mario, Metroid, Zelda, megaman, well maybe)
ONline play
late n64 graphics
a mic
two screens
a touch screen
good battery life
pictochat (a built in chat program)
wireless multiplayer
Clamshell design
Some of the best game out there
They use cards instead of discs. WHile they may cost more and can hold less data, but they can't be messed up very easily and you need durability in portable gaming
cheap price ($150 for the system and $30 games)
PSP
Well, there isn't a single game that interests me yet.
online play
Purdy graphics (a little worse than ps2) but that eats up battery life
one big screen
bad battery life (speculation)
wireless multiplayer
mp3 player
easibly scratchable screen
It uses UMD discs that can hold a lot more data but are easily scratched. Plus they have to spin while you play them and that eats up more battery life.
They are realeasing some movies on it (like FF7 Advent Children) but why watch a movie on a little system when you can watch it on a dvd at home? (they are realeasing FF& advent children on DVD) Plus, playing movies eats up more battery life.
While the price in not comfirmed, it would be nearly impossible for them to get it out for under $200.
OK, that post was a little biased but I didn't lie about anything in the post. In the end it is your call, if you want REALLY fun games with decent graphics, then get DS. If you want crummy games with purdy graphics, then get the PSP. To me, the choice is clear. I have even already reserved my ds at EBGames.
Now, with the graphics, those PSP screens aren't what it will actually look like in a real game. Here is another comparison,
Now, there isn't much of a difference there, is there?
DS>gba>N-gage(you heard me!)>PSP
PERIOD!
