Hmmm I only live in a small town and nothing much happens here.

There was a nasty battle years and years ago and the hill that it happened on is called ankle hill because is was ankle deep in blood.

In recent years though we had an earthquake that knocked someone's chimney over and thats about it. very boring.

Suicide bombing. I don't really know how much damage it did though.

Well, back in 1776... :D

yeah, my town is the home of the revolutionary war. That's pretty much the only bad/interesting thing that's ever happened here.

Well. Nothing.

But there was a huge flood in St. Louis in '93.

Depends on what you call my area. I used to live in Denver, and lots of bad stuff happens there... probably that one year the gangs went crazy and started killing everyone.

But now I live in Conifer, which isn't too far from Columbine High school, so yeah.

But I say the worst thing was the decision to *coincidentally* build a school across the street from the most secure prison in the world, and then get my parents to try to get me to go there. (The school was like a prison, I swear.)

Thats what I mentioned "Black Friday".
I was only two when it happened though. And apparently I slept quite happily in the basement.
I've seen pictures though, and... I saw the destruction at Pine Lake when the Tornado hit there. The Pine Lake tornado ripped out part of a field of canola from my farm... so... it's frightning stuff.

lol I should know not to post when I'm tired because I missed your post completely. I was 13 when it hit, it was just me and my dad at home, my mom and sister were at work, my other sister was suppose to be saftly in Penhold that day, but the military decided to send all the kids home that day instead of Saturday morning. The bus got a nice view of the tornado coming into the city. I have the newspaper special they released with the pictures shortly after it happened, and I bought the 10 year anniversary book (which my mom still hasn't given back).

I remember how paniced the city would get for years after a terrible storm would start rolling in, and after that time flash thunderstorms happened a lot. the experience did get me interested in tornado's and learning about them just so I could be prepared, and I know when not to freak over something that won't happen into one. all was fine until I moved here... Oh my we get terrible dust/dirt storms that's kind of freaky

You'd think that'd be one of the safest places to be if a convict ever DID escape the prison because they'd be trying to get as far the heck away from that area, not hide across the street where they would be bound to search for them.

Well, I live in the suburbs of Cincinnati, so yeah...

The April 2001 riots downtown (racial issues) were pretty bad. A bunch of organizations boycotted the city (they didn't have their conventions and things here, that kind thing) for a while afterwards.

'Course, you have your shootings and robberies in the downtown-urban areas, but they're so common now that it's almost normal. It's a scary thing.

In my town, nothing major. Course last year we had 5 threats. 2 in the middle school, 2 in the high school and one at an elementary school. Barely no one went to school on the day of the first threat. It was awesome lol.

But in Boston... hmm. Not sure. There was the Boston Massacre way back in 1770 or so, and the Boston Tea Party. Both helped to start the Revolutionary War. Would that count as bad?
