But think about it... Classic rock TODAY is considered what was 'popular' 20 years ago... 20 years from NOW, Britney Spears and all that computerized dung will be classic 'pop'... LOL.
In 20 years, do you not think that they will have a better no talent hack to listen to? No one will care about her or any of the pop princesses. They'll be sitting at home, trying to watch their soaps, telling their maids "I
was Britney" and trying to deal with some major sagging issues.
God Bless you, Igg. Apparently Hungarian blood carries an inherrent taste in music.
If you want music to change, don't support the baby steps. Get out there and find some Indys to support! Hawaii Mud Bombers are a personal fave (Also The Insomniacs, Minus 5, Jet Cocktail Glass Slippers. Its as close as you're gonna get to Rock and Roll). Or show the support to some older bands that have cool sounds(Violent Femmes, Dictators, the Pretty Things, not to mention the obvious big times like Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, the Ramones, etc.). Maybe then the studios will start taking the hint that we want substance. As long as we keep buying lip synchers and baby rockers, that's all we're gonna get. And I blame EVERYONE that has stated Linkin Park. Yes its decent, but we can take strides instead of baby steps, people. Sure its extra work to get indy rockers, but believe me baby, its worth the buzz.
I guarantee you that if you listen to Little Steven's Underground Garage on a local affiliate or over the web for free, you'll find something. To start you off, download The Dictator's Savage Beat. I expect to see a report about it on my desk by monday.
