Bleh.
I have FR, but I don't really like it...
got 8 badges + all legendary birds in 2 days and beat the elite 4 like 4 days after.
And now I have to colloct Pokémon, but... that's so boring... *sigh*

Oh, and in Fire Red, I'm outside the Pokemon League, ready to go inside and kick butt. :battar:

Well, you don't have to use ultra balls. I caught articuno with a pokeball. I am dead serious too. It really wasn't that hard. I also caught zapdos with a great ball, :P .

Heh, I caught Moltres with a ultra ball when it was at half full health, not even in the yellow, no status conditios. XD (I was just trying to waste a turn.... )

It's not easly , Beleve me. I probably spent well over 10K just returning to the Safari Zone to capture one. And I still haven't caught a Scyher yet ethier. >.< Kangas's are very VERY difficult to catch. But in the end, They are well worth the wait. :D
One try, Rock Tunnel. :>

Thats just cruel. XD

I ended up re-starting my firered game, my pokemong were all in the 40's, and I was getting my but kicked. So I re-started it, and I'm going for my old, if all else fails tactic: Raise only my starter(and in this case, Pickachu, a decent electric type(Raichu) Is not a good thing to lack) so that once I get to the elite 4 agian, I'll wope them. :P

Does anyone else, besides me, feel that Pikachu is COMPLEATLLY overrated? It's defence sucks, and it has low hp, high speed, and sucky special attack. Raichu's stats are much improved, and it's even higher speed makes it an excellent electric pokemon, especially at higher levels. To bad I have to deal with my Pikachu untill it's learned both thunder and thunderbolt, otherwise I'd evolve it as soon as I got to Celedon. XD

Yeah, I always, always, ALWAYS evolve my Pokemon as soon as I can (or as soon as they're strong enough to evolve). If a Pokemon evolves ASAP, then it's stat points are higher than ones that evolve late. And since I like to whip people fast, I let my Pokemon evolve. Whee!

Bought FireRed after being completely bored out of my skull thanks to College. Still playing it AT College which is, suffice to say, a relaxer for my brain when I can't draw XD

Articuno was easy (1st Great Ball), so was Zapdos (1st Ultra Ball). Moltres I still haven't caught - very frustrating bird to snag.

Caught Mewtwo with Level 57 Pokemon. Used a Timer Ball. Second try ^_^

Saving my Master Ball for Suicune; I love that Pokemon :D

Current team is:
Zarus (Dragonite) Level 65
Ten Cents (Charizard) Level 64
Tylar (Vaporeon) Level 64
Hercules (Nidoking) Level 64
Sally (Pidgeot) Level 64
Tornado (Mewtwo) Level 71

A tip I use for evolving Pikachu - If you're also raising pokemon that evolve at Level 36 (Pidgeotto to Pidgeot, Charmeleon to Charizard etc), evolve the Pikachu also at that level and continue to train it from there. My Raichu, Sunshine, is level 65 and has fantastic stats. I traded him to my nephew's FireRed game and he's been kicking the Elite 4 to Kingdom Come XD

Another tip for the Elite 4 - Buy Lemonades or Soda Pops from Two Island. They don't heal as much HP, but they're far cheaper than Hyper Potions (good for those looking to take on the E4, but have less cash). I keep a stock of around 50 of each and find that I use less than 20 up against the Elite 4, both the first time and the second time around.

Also, if you get any Calciums, Irons, Zincs and the like, use them - I find that if I use these on a Pokemon with weaker stats (before evolution), they become just that little bit stronger after evolution.

And sell Rare Candies ~ if you're low on cash, 2400 Pokedollars does go a long way with Lemonades & Soda Pops.

Hope that helps some folks ;)

CRAP I forgot about Suicune! I used the master ball on mewtwo.

Suicune is in that game? o_o Wow... Wait, can't I just trade my Suicune from Colliseum to Fire Red?

I hate you. :P

Anyway, nice tips, really though, since I can get thunder at the electrical plant, maybe I should evolve my Pikachu right after it learns thunderbolt...(level 26)

Too bad none of the Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon carry over here...and too bad there's no daylight and nighttime feature.

<gloat>My Chansey evolved into Blissey. :D</gloat>
