Mad Tv/SNL

I think Mad TV has funnier sketches and skits, but SNL's weekend update with Tina Fey and Amy Polar (?) is hilarious!

Anyways, MAD TV is on right now.

It's tough to choose between them. I kinda like SNL better though. I'm just glad I can watch them both cause them come on at different times and such.

MadTV was funnier when they still had some funny ppl on it.
Now, meh... some of their sketches are funny but not like before.

SNL was never funny :roll:

I'm an SNL guy. I love the cast, and some of the humour is actually INTELLIGENT! (keyword: some)

Mad TV, on the other hand, has humour that my neighbor's dog could understand . . .

Watericesage, I completely agree with you!
I used to watch SNL every Saturday, but now I only drop in for Weekend Update and the musical guests. The SNL sketches are sometimes too long and winded, going on and on long after the jokes have been made.
MadTV is hilarious! But yes... it has been funnier in the past. I don't think either of them have been up to par lately.

I'm a SNL girl

The only MadTV sketch I've ever liked was "Stewart" (sp). SNL generally has great hosts (my fave of all time is Christopher Walken) and Weekend Update has always been great, no matter who the host was. Does anyone remember when Jane Curtin was the WU host? She was great XD

SNL spends too much time doing Bush/Kerry Sketches, they were funny for a while, but the Vietnam and Stupitity jokes are only funny for so long...

The characters I like best on Mad TV are Stewart and Dot.

SNL used to be hilarious, but now I just drop by to watch weekend update, or if Mad TV is showing one of those superstitious sketches...

I like SNL better becaue I find that the comedians are a little more talented then on Mad TV, but I love the skit "Stuwart" on Mad TV :roflol:

IMO.

Mad Tv is overall more funnier to my taste. But lately SNL has been catching up so now i'm starting to like the newer SNL episodes than the newer mad TV. I still misss Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrel of course but yeah as of right now SNL is better. But Mad TV's older stuff is better. And i have to agree with the presidential skits that SNL does is kinda dumb.

there's a fine line between funny and completely stupid, and madtv has never managed to cross over into the "funny" realm. SNL walks the edge, but madtv is just too much for itself.

I like SNL better, mostly because of the classics though. The humor of MadTV often makes me gag more than laugh (although I must agree with what somewhat said about the Stuart (sp?) skits).
