Most everyday Sock and I go buy lunch. Thing is, her class is on one side of the campus, the caf is on the other. It takes about 7 minutes to get to her locker and to the lunch line. We're always at the back, and almost never actually get a lunch. When we do, we realize it's pathetic; we pay almost $3 for a pile of fries, a little box of OJ, and a medium-sized burrito. When we don't, we buy a few cookies and snapple.

Anyways, we come back to our table with our little tray of food. Our friends DJ, Nick, Brandon, and various other people start taking our fries. Typical day:

Sock: We're back!
Brando: *walks around table*
DJ: (with sandwhich in mouth and a whole lunch) Ooooooh! Gimmie a fry!
Sock: Here. *gives a fry*
DJ: *begs from Maureen*
Me: No! Get your own! You have a lunch, anyways.
DJ: C'mon! Want my sandwhich for trade?
Me: No! It's in your mouth.
Nae: *sits on Maureen's lap, takes fry*
Me: Hey! *steals back*
Brandon: (while I'm not looking) *takes fry*
Me: Bradon!!
Nick: Can I have your burrito?/You gonna eat that?
Me: -.-;

See, Sock is more passive about this kind of thing. I want my food. I eat my food. And the mints/gum:

Me: *takes gum out, chews*
Jane: (so the whole bus can hear): OOOHH! I WANT GUM!
Me: Shhhh! *gives one piece of gum*
Whole bus: (trampling Maureen) I WANT GUM!
Me: Owwww.
Jane: Hey, can I have another piece?
Me: x_x

There is a rule at our lunch table (Yes we've made it a rule; it is a requirement to sit there.) that if you have curly fries, chocolate donughts (they sell the small packs of... 6 or 8 in the cafeteria), or anything else worth sharing, you must share with the rest of the table. We also trade our food. Curly fries have the highest value; they can get you almost anything if you bargain right.

Since we give food away so much at our lunch table, no one ever really has to beg. ^^

1:Why not?
2: 'Cause I.. ::fake coughs on the roll/ fries/ whatever/:: coughed on it.

ROFL That sounds like my table in high school. That or we used to do really gross things to our food that only we liked so no one else would bother with it. Like my best friend would put mayo, ranch sauce, and french fries on a chicken cutlet sandwich (*squirms*)

Today, Maureen's empty styrofoam tray (formerly stacked with fries) ended up in the middle of our table within three minutes of us arriving, and I don't think she ate all that many of them.

I'm a beggar myself. :P Whenever I don't get lunch and have no money I run around our table going "Feed the hungry! Feed the hungry!" and get donations of quarters/fries/etc.

This morning this really annoying guy at my bus stop begged me for my poptarts (best breakfast ever <3) lol, but otherwise I don't really get begged at. All anyone ever begs for at my school is candy and gum, both of which I have neither (I never have candy and I don't chew gum) so, yeah. But I see people begging each other for gum all the time and it gets real annoying when you're stuck next to them ><

Hah!

Today, my friend wanted my drink (who can resist Root Beer?) so I drank half, then I gave it to her. Pshh. I was too lazy to argue. Meh, who cares.

Haha, that reminds me of something that happened in art club last week...

"Aww man, I want another cookie... Hey, dude! You gonna eat that?"
"Not really."
"Cool can I have it?"
"Uhhh..."
"Wait, did you bite off that?"
"Uhhh..."
"...Ahhh probably not! Dang I'm hungry!" *grabs cookie and shoves it in mouth*
"Uhhh Sunnie I bit that..."
"...d'oh."
Then another guy walks up and says "AWW MAN YOU ATE THAT?! I WAS GONNA GRAB IT!!!"

That cookie tasted pretty darn good for being bit off of. :P

In the homeschool co-op where I go twice a week, there's these three guys who somehow always want to eat what I'm eating. Maybe it's because I don't like sandwiches (I hate any kind of sandwich... ew....), and always bring microwaveable leftovers... or maybe they're always hungry... Anyway, they always beg for my food. Even if I"m not done with it, they're always asking "Can I have that?" I just say no, because I want my food!

I hate it when people just swipe things from you. That's annoying. X_X

Anyways, what a coincidence, she just called me and said thanks. I was like "For what?" "Oh yeah! No problem!"

After she hung up I was like, "That's a first".

:o :o No....It can't be!!

Heh, last year I hardly ever ate lunch, so I'd go to all my friends and ask them to feed the hungry. Or just swipe stuff off the people next to me.

They didn't mind, much. Besides, they did the same to me if I had food, and when we bought drinks from the vending machine/had soda, we'd always all share it. =P

This year, it's either my own food, or nothing. No one begs. ::sighs:: How boring.

My sister once said that at her school there seemed to be some unwritten holy rule that said that anyone can have a bite of anything anyone else has in their lunch. So among friends, everyone would just grab something they wanted from other people's lunch boxes. So you could grab some chips and they could grab some of your carrots or whatever. But some people didn't really like to share like that. I mean, everyone's lunch boxes were open and it was like a free for all. But one day one of the friends got tired of people stealing her chocolates, so she replaced them all with ex lax chocolates. Needless to say, I bet no one stole her candy again...you might want to try it sometime...

 that is coooooold.

All my friends share ^_^ We all order big dishes or take bits and pieces from each other's lunches/dinners/breakfasts. It's fun and gives variety ^_^ We even share drinks... in class... all my friends bring lotsa food and we sit there and have feasts while learning ^_^ good times... good times.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

That was priceless. :P

My friends and I don't eat lunch together much in the first place (when we do it's most likely at the food court at the mall), but when we do we basically just trade without any argument, as all the trades are the same most days.

For example, Friend 1 loves the double cheeseburger, but it comes with fries, when he prefers onion rings. Friend 2 loves the pizza, but it comes with onion rings, when he prefers fries. Basically it was established from day one that Friend 1 and Friend 2 would always trade side dishes.

I used to get that so much in high school - mainly because I had the cash to afford some of the more expensive items from the cafeteria. Trouble was, most of my "friends" never begged, they just swiped when my back was turned. This continued until my last year of high school where money became tight for me and that lunch usually would be the only thing I'd eat for around 12 hours.

One day, I snapped. And my "friends" thought it was hilarious to pick on me and keep on swiping my only source of staying awake (I have this odd disorder, similar to narcolepsy, where if I don't eat something for lunch, I fall asleep an hour later and stay asleep until someone actually realises I'm out like a light and wakes me up. I still have this disorder, mind...).

One day I had a similar idea to that ex-lax chocolate idea, only much worse.

The Cafeteria made a point on Friday lunchtimes to sell these delicious chocolate cream donuts. And since I knew the cafeteria lady's family (I tutored her two youngest boys in art), I explained my situation to her. Marie (as it were, I was the only one in HS to call her by her first name) made two batches that fateful day; one laced with ex-lax chocolate filling (around 5 of them) and one completely harmless batch (normal batch of 10). Fortunately, she had the trays marked, so there was no hope of mistaken identity.

Since I usually bought at least 3 of those donuts (chocolate for me works like coffee does for others - great wake-up call), I distinctively recall Kylie, Jasmine and Chantelle swiped all three of the donuts, calling me a stupid <insert expletive here> and going off laughing. They were always picking on me, one because I could draw and two because I was different than them.

Funnily enough, none of the girls showed up for Basketball practice. Failing that, none of them showed for at least a week and a half. Marie was never found out and neither was I.

Call me an evil creature. Go on, I know you want to...

XD

Anyway.... :roflol:

Technically, since she's 16, she doesn't have menopause. I think you mean PMS instead. ;)

Anyway, if something is shareable (like if you have pudding, that's sorta hard to share), then my friends and I automatically ask each other if anybody wants some. It's like this unwritten rule that exists here... because I have different sets of friends from like different schools, but we all do this. O_o
