lol If she's going to do bogus performances, she REALLY needs to practice lip-syncing. She's terrible at it.

Honestly, I don't care if a singer lip-syncs during a performance (except when it's on SNL, because I mean, come on. It's Saturday Night LIVE, not Saturday Night Pre-Recorded. If you can't sing live on SNL, don't agree to perform there.). If I were a performer, I'd rather do a good job of lip-syncing and dancing than a bad job of actually singing. But it's gotta be good, it's gotta look like she could POSSIBLY be really singing. And Lindsay is just awful at it.

Edit: After watching the video again, I have to add that she's not that great at dancing either. xD

If she was outside, I could see it. Truely. Many performers that so do on TV do lipsync on shows such as morning shows, due to the crowds and coldness of many mornings.

However...

She was inside. Unless she is having throat problems, there's no real call for this. And if she was sick (Which this time of year I really wouldn't put it past her) she probably would have made herself look better by just cancelling.

They're having her look too old. She's trying to be...I don't know but it's not good. Keep her to videos and live concerts...that's where she needs to stick.

Just ignore the ads and watch the vid. With sites geared towards college students.. you should be ready for thoe types of ads.

The pop stars today really make me sad. Back in my day (the 90's, haha), people actually sang their own songs when performing live. Even if it doesn't sound perfect, fans appreciate it more.

Destiny's Child?! I've seen them lip sync for all they're worth on several occasions!

Lip Syncing doesn't bother me on TV and whatnot as long as they're not claiming to be live. So many artists do it, and sometimes I'd prefer to listen to them lip sync than a live band who are crap.
LIke I'd rather watch/listen to Jamelia lip syncing than McFly live.

anyone whos voice doesnt waver when singing live is lip syncing.
you cannot sing for a protracted time in that manner (IE; people who arent actually singing, EG: rappers can do it) without your voice wavering, no idea why mind.
course thats not too say they dont deserve their contracts and money, but i got called a pratt (two T's dear) the last time i said that.

Heeeheee....I love it when stars are caught lyp-synching. I'm not the best singer in the world, but I do think I sing better than most of these pop stars out right now.
I agree with Ammer. Amy from Evanescence doesn't lyp-synch because she doesn't have to. And she doesn't pretend to be some sort of "club entertainer" on stage.

Anyways, I feel a little bad for her.. not really because she was caught, but more person everything ripping at her for it.

Why would one have to? If they are physically unable to perform, then they should back down and apologize, rather than pretending to do something that they can't do.

And I have seen Hilary perform live. She's not that bad. She doesn't sound wonderful but I give her credit for singing live. And at the MMVA's, she was singing live but apparently she sounded so horrible they put the real track over it on television.

And for the Lindsay clip. That's hilarious. She deserves it.

Because when I posted I never thought of that as an option. I speak before I think.
