I wanted to be a cop. But now, I have a list of, in order of preference, the only jobs I will accept when I am older.
1. Ninja. Yes, I'm serious.
2. Famous guitar player.
3. Someone who works at a guitar/music shop.
4. A forensic scientist.

Until 4th grade, a teacher.
Then my teacher told me I should try and follow a career that involves constant writing. I wanted to be a novelist in 5th grade then.
Now I have no clue. A philosipher(sp) sounds like a good job for me, but then again... x.x

I've had many occupational aspirations over the years. Too bad they all went away as soon as I hit middle school. The earliest one I can think of was to be a paleontologist. I think marine biologist and zoologist came after that. The rest, I don't quite remember.

Ah, I remember 10 years ago...I was bent on becoming either a meteorologist or an optometrist. I was obsessed with weather, and I was amused by the weird optometry machinery back then.
Now I plan on something computer and/or design related. If I can't get into these, I can always get into the boring accounting jobs.

I remember now! I used to want to be a meteorologist as well! I wanted to go storm chasing when I lived in the midwest. I also used to want to be an astronomer or an astrophysist. I was so ambitious and motivated! What on earth happened?

I wanted to be a vet. Went throught a brief paleontology phase, but I had an incident with a wasp...don't ask.

I used to want to be a police officer cause I loved guns... Now i want to be Lady pilot or a university teacher or maybe an instructer at an outdoor centre or...maybe a police officer with lots of guns....and help UK be a better place for people!

When I was young, I always wanted to be whatever that is showing on the TV. If the series is about lawyers, I will want to be that. If it is teacher, I will want to be that tool.

As far as I can remember, I've always wanted to be an early years teacher for small kids. I don't care much about the pay -- as long as I can support myself, I'll be happy.

I wanted to be an allosaurus.
And, as a second option, an illustrator. Better yet as a combo.
Or, if I wanted to get real desperate, a brontosaurus. (Apato my foot.... I refuse to say it!)

I wanted to be several things.
(In no particular order)
One time I wanted to be a priestess because I'd watched too many Amityville Horror movies in a row. XD
Then there was another time I wanted to be a doctor because I liked organs and weird stuff in the body, but then I realized just how often doctors get sued for stupid reasons.
One time a few years ago a dog swallowed a rubber band and was choking on it and I opened it's mouth and stuck my hand down it's throat to remove the rubber band and then afterwords everyone was telling me I should be a vet, so that got in my head a while.

Oh dear, my career choices have kind of gone in a circle...
First I wanted to own a Chinese Restaurant. Then I wanted to be a teacher. Then I wanted to be a forensic scientist. Then I wanted to be an Equine Vet. Then I wanted to be a teacher again, and now I want to own an asian-themed cafe and write depressing novels in my spare time:P
Go figure.
