Toy Story 2 is exempt from the crap sequels category, as it was a Disney/Pixar. =)

Is Dumbo 2 going straight to video? When a Disney sequal does that, it usually means to avoid it at all costs. (Cept for Lion King!)

Disneys gone through rutts before. I don't think these groups of sequels will make a massive difference on Disney overall. Eisner sucks, yes, but he'll be gone soon enough.

Yes it is. My brother got the Dumbo DVD and there was a preview for it well not really a preview, they were talking about it. It's coming to Video and DVD.

I dunno. I didn't really like Lion King 2 much. Though it's always okay if you're really bored or something. But... y'know how the original Lion King (Which rocked beyond all belief) was like, a Savannah Hamlet, with less death? Lion King 2 was like... Savannah Romeo and Juliet... with no death. Well... yeah... there was a mercutio. Sorta. (Nuka) And uh, the evil lioness' death was sorta unavoidable. But... neither Romeo nor Juliet died. Plus Simba didn't act like Simba at ALL. I could make a fanfic based purely on why he acted like a jerk... but, uh, yeeeeah.

Didn't see 1 1/2, but it looked fun.

ANYWAY, my point is Disney Sequels are usually crap. (Remember the Beauty and the Beast Xmas Special? I was like... what the heck? Belle wrote LOTR?)
Unless they're Disney/Pixar. But no returning to that now... sigh...

And I do like the original Dumbo, I have it on a tape my grandma pirated three disney movies onto from TV XD. Except for the racism. But it's fairly mild, compared to the sexism in the really early Disney stuff *shudders*.
But, eh, yeah, Dumbo's cool, and if they make him talk it'll ruin it. One of the things that made the movie work was that he couldn't! And he should get terribly drunk again, just so we can have a reprise of Pink Elephants on Parade XD

So... please don't botch it, Disney! Though I'm pretty sure you will.

I think for me it's not the fact that they're going to be doing a sequal (they have done some fantastic sequals even a good time after the originial firm was released) ... it's always the quality of how it's presented. Since these are significantly low budget than the orignials and with different staff -- these are going be quality wise as something showed on Saturday morning. They're pretty much carp unless it's one of the big-budget animation film which they seem to have siphoned out in recent years.

i wouldnt mind if they made sequals to current movies... like they made alladin 2 and 3 within a few years of the first one.... but they shouldnt make dumbo 2.... long term sequals like cinderella 2, lady and the tramp 2 *or whatever if was* and other ones always stink. oh, and the jungle book 2..... and... yeah, theres lots of them.

Hey now. Peter Pan 2 was better than the original. I mean, I loved Peter Pan but I didn't quite like it as much as the sequel. The crocodile was awesome though. Little Mermaid 2 was an alright sequel. I liked it. Lady and the Tramp 2 was okay as well. Not bad. Jungle Book 2 was a great sequel. I watched it on DVD and loved it.

Noooo!!! Dumbo is a classic. They are gonna ruin this!They should leave all the old movies alone and just let us enjoy them they way they are supposed to be without any crappy sequels
