I smell another quest coming on... As Scott has mentioned, the "Quest for 25"! The messenger Cap has alerted the previous evils and our fallen comrades of the treachery ahead! The prophecy says:

Only then shall you smite the evil that is Dawn the Second
and probably Stephanie the townsfolk slayer.

We can only hope that these people fall from the heavens and save us!
