Personally the only way Nintendo can come back in to the game in council and maybe handheld if PSP rule (which I highly doubt but in a few years there will be a major compition there cause by then Microsoft would want to come in and yea) is to go in to more popular gaming and go into somemore teen-like games. Oh should we all feel powerful that we teens rule a market that we actully care (we also do major part in the junk food market).

1. Newsflash: 3rd place ain't bad, especially when it's rated by the PPT equivalent of sony!

2. Also, how can a PSP have more games when it's not even out yet?

3. You know, my favorite game of all time is a 16-bit game, thus the 32-bit GBA games will NOT die out!

4. You act like Nintendo is almost out of business, which is most definetly is NOT!

5. Microsoft angers me because they don't just enter the gaming industry to compete, they come in to DESTROY the existing competitors! They already took down sega and unless nintendo and sony work together, both are next!

When PSP comes out it will have more games than DS had. When I said GBA games die out they won't sell, and people would get used to the regular current day games and they won't play the GBA games. Nintendo will be out of busness if they do something else with there games. Actully if you look at the games, it looks like Xbox and Sony are teaming up. Also Xbox can never take down Sony or Nintendo.

1. 3rd out of 3 IS bad. It's not just Gamepro either.

2. Easy, if they made more games for it, it has more. IT doesn't have to be out yet.

3. Um.. NES, Sega Genesis and the other old school systems HAVE died out. Sure there are people that still play them regularly, and also people that play them of nostalgia, but they are not available in stores (gaming stores and pawnshops don't count as "stores")now, thus "dead".

4. That's right, it would take a lot to take Nintendo, the best known video game company, out of business.

5. Microsoft and XBox will NEVER take down Nintendo and Sony (If it ever happens, I'll quit gaming forever, and that's saying a lot). Look at the XBox. The lovers and haters of that system are probably split evenly. That's not a good thing.

You can have your opinion and I won't stop you, but I'd appriciate it if you didn't tell me that getting my DS was a waste of money. I can't get the blue bomber, fat plumber, and blue hedgehog on the PSP, which is why I chose the DS. I get systems based on which has the most games I want, not by which one I'm loyal to. I'd get a PS2 if it had more games I wanted, but the gamecube has all the games I want, which is why I got one. I'll never get an X-box not just because it's by an evil company, but because its only good games are shooter games, which are not my cup of tea.

SNES is probly the only old system that still rules, although I have pledge allegence to Sony, I will always love the SNES.

No one has stated that getting a DS is a waste of money. ;)

Thats kind of hard to believe when you constantly say that the DS is garbage compared to the PSP. Also, how can it be 3/3 on a list if there's only 2 protable gaming systems coming out? Did they say that the GBA is better, or are they saying that it got 3rd place despite there being only 2 contestants? Perhaps you should give us a link to a screenie of it?

Quote me where I said this, I'm not biased towards either console, when I see bias I do reply in kind, because I hate it. I'm not saying you in particular (since you stated why you choose the games you do), but when I see someone giving one side of the arguement, there needs to be another.

Well, since there's only 2 portable gaming systems floating around and the DS is not lower than the PSP, I'd say he was talking about Gamecube, not the DS. -_-

Gamecube is selling like a lead balloon here, but in Japan it's only matched by the PS2, because X-box is selling like a lead balloon there. It's a close race for the 2nd place consoles, but PS2 is the clear victor so far in both countries. Very interesting, really.

Yeah, it's a shame that the XBox isn't doing horribly *cough* I didn't say that... >_> I still like my PS2 and GC though. *pets them*

Like I said, if the PS2 had more games I want, I'd get one. I have nothing against any particular gaming company (that counts, that is).

This topic is a poll and an expression of opinion about the DS and the PSP, not Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony. If you wish to continue discussion on the latter, I suggest posting in Console & PC Gaming.

DS has more than 20 games that I want. PSP has one game that I want. PSP's battery life can go as low as 1 1/2 hours. The lowest DS will ever go is 6 hours. Nintendo has demolished like 12 competitors in the handheld market and I doubt they will slow down any time soon. Sony makes faulty products. Nintendo makes products that could survive an atomic bomb. DS is innovative (two screens, touch screen, microphone). PSP is just the same old thing. To me, the choice is clear.
