It's not a huge deal to me.
I miss some of the smilies, the main reason is because they were a lot less creepy than these Yahoo ones, though we did have Yahoo smilies when I first joined, I missed this one:
as to me, it looked like Fidds.
But smilies are just pixels, they can easily be changed, or gotten used to. I recall that when we first switched from the original Yahoo smilies, to the others (Invision, or whatever they were) I missed the Yahoo ones, so whatever.
Usergroups can be recreated. The only difference are the ones that required a certain number of posts to get in.
True the member list is much shorter, but what have we lost? Unactive accounts.
Our stars are gone, but again, I like these new bubbles (however, the orange Moderator ones look like they've been badly recoloured).
The ranks are different, but I like these, they're cleverer.
There's loads of hacks and such that are missing,
but they can be readded. I'm speaking of the Buddy one, the Neopets Username one, the PM notification system, Personal Quote, Skins, text effects, etc.
Sometimes it's refreshing to have a new start. Having 3,000 posts was nice and all, but I didn't feel that it made me better than someone with 800 posts, nor did I feel that someone with 5,000 posts was better than me.
But if post counts do matter for something, a clean slate gives you the chance to get closer to the top, without having to get past people that had a huge headstart. **smiles at Dawn**
Everyone that really cares about PPT is here, so what's the problem?
It's the people that make PPT, not the hacks. Would you rather have an empty forum with all the things your used to, and none of the people, or this?
