So a bunch of us over at idb are playing a game together starting on thursday called the reincarnation. PPTers used to be idbers and vice versa, so you are more than welcome to join our ranks.
The Reincarnation is a MMORPG, thats text-strategy based for the most part.
We are going to make an apprentice guild. the game doesnt start till thursday at about 15:00 NST (6pm eastern standard time)
Late tomorrow night, ill contact everyone, have new players guides in hand, and generally get everyone on their feet. ill be on to answer any questions typically for 1-2 hours a day when possible.
We will all play in a guild together, meaning on the same team. Odds are we wont be too good first time around, and thats OK.
Here is the (admittedly tough to read) new players guide:

This is a turn based game, meaning playing 24-7 wont be any better than playing once per day or every other day (in fact playing 24-7 is typically detrimental). You get so many "turns" or "moves each day, and once you make your moves youre done for that day pretty much.
Different people will have different playing styles. Besides the basic colors (white = good, noble and defensive etc), alot of people will find they run their kingdom a certain way. What works for them might not work well for others. The main goal for the upcoming game is to get everyone familiar with the game, and have fun, and to try and learn a little as well.
The biggest reason i think its a worthwhile project longrun is because the top guilds typically get along the best, talk to eachother alot (and alot of times arent talking about the game), and have a tight community. The guilds that often end up doing poor often have great individual players, but dont have that tight community. Since i feel idb is a tight community, I think long run people will really enjoy the game.
If youve gotten this far and wish to sign up, post in this thread or the comparable thread in idb forums.
