I agree. Besides, if the database isn't restored, the admins/super mods can always restore the post counts.

Honestly, I doubt they would. If the database isn't being restored, these forums would be a fresh start in all respects, why should post count be the only thing to be restored? Besides, usergroups are being re-worked according to Jim and access to the usergroups might not depend on post counts.

Hmm...I do remember I had around 8250 posts...but I can start over. I guess maybe the gods/beyond godly usergroups may be on hold? Maybe they will be created, but only Dawn will be in the Gods usergroup, since she has the highest post count and all .

I said this earlier and I'll say this again. Post count is a number. You didn't join the forums in the first place just to post a lot, did you? (I seem to be contradicting myself )

I remember I had between 2530 - 2535 posts at the time the real PPT Forums vanished and I was going by the name Combusken BG(since I was Beyond Godly at that time) from the day that I hit 2500 posts (which meant I had finally reached the Beyond Godly rank).

I also remember Shoyru_Lover also had the Beyond Godly rank though he never got the chance to enter the Beyond Godly usergroup before the original PPT forums vanished.

If I can get back in the Gods and Beyond Godly usergroups I will be very happy. But who knows what the new critera (if there is a new one)will be.

IMO I think part of the Reason I think Dawn2 doesn't want the Real PPT Forums to come back is because she doesn't want ChromeFox to be back asshe(ChromeFox) belongs as PPT's Legendry Queen of posts.

No. I came because it is the Best Neopets Fansite there is bar none IMO.

I miss the usergroups a whole lot, especially the Divas group. It was really helpful, and it gave the female members a chance to help each other out. And the Battle of the Sexes thing was fun. ^_^

Now, post counts. I do kinda miss seeing my 1400-something posts under my name, but oh well. I've gotten used to seeing a two digit, now three digit number. If I did it once, I can (hopefully) do it again. It's not really the STATUS, but the feeling of accomplishment. I still have the screenshot of my 1000th post, heh..

*goes on a hunger strike* OK, so I know this is extreme for a number, but I worked HARD on my post count.

you know, a hunger strike probably isn't going to do much.... especially as something feeble of post counts. As for usergroups, we're all in the dark with what the evil admin are doing with that...

I know it's feeble. But I've worked hard. I was stuck out of my account for 4 months while I was DM! I'm on Fire! It's a nice prize.

I honestly don't see why you're so upset over the possibility that your post count might not be coming back. We all lost something when the forums had to restarted. While you're sitting there thinking about your post count, the staff have to sit down and remember all of the rules and regulations they had written up and lost. HL and BNO had a very extensive FAQ list, and by the looks of what they've put up so far, it was lost.

We all had our post counts set to zero, you're no differant than any other member here. If it comes back so be it. If not, you'll survive. Just like the rest of us.

A prize? How can 4 numbers be a prize? They didn't do very much...

I was thinking more along then lines of you having to assimilate/devour members to stay operational but hey, your idea is good too.

Honestly, I wouldn't care if they put me at the bottom of the list on the new or old PPT.
