*Sigh* The flu...and I just got over a cold too. If I get the flu that would probably put me out of school and work for a few days. I highly doubt the grocery store will let me work with the flu. Grr...

I've never heard of lavender drops. What do they do and where could I get them? Oh, one more question, is lucozade a type of drink or medicine? I haven't heard of that either.

Thankies again for caring/helping. I'll have to try some of these things.

Lucozade, however you spell that, is an energy drink.

Another thing is the over-the-counter Mucinex. My father and my parent's friends SWEAR by it! My area was getting this flu thing where you have a cold/cough for a week, then the cough stays for like... a month or two more! Another thing is Robitussin Flu, but not the syrup, the LiquidGel pills! They work wonders!

Lavender pretty much helps you relax and go to sleep a lot easier. Plus side is it smells good too.

To get lavender drops, you might have better luck looking at say a natural food store, becasue they have lots of natural essentail oils including lavender. You could aslo try like a lavender room/linen spray.

Also...the one thing that never fails. TheraFlu. The kind that you make in a hot drink...night time stuff of course...should knock you out and give you a decent nights sleep and help stop any cough even a little.

I know how you feel, being sick for ages really sucks. Last year I was diagnosed with a new breed of cold called the 100 day cold. It sounds stupid but apparently it does exist, and I reckon I had it becuase i was sick on off for about 110 days. You are sort of ick for a week then good for a few days for aprox. 100 days. It REALLY sucked.

I've just been sick the past few days, also with coughing and stuff.
My mother always buys pills called "broomhexine", I don't know what it's called in english though, but it might be similar. It's also the active ingedient in some coughing syrups, but the pills work a lot better.
It kind of loosens the mucus in your lungs and bronchi, making it easier to cough up, it really helps. Take the pills for a few days and you will start to feel a difference. You must take them regularly though (3 times a day), or it won't help.
I hope this will help you to get rid of your cough :)

Drink a lot of water.

At least, that's what my mum always tells me when I'm sick. =P

Oh, I always drink water. I hardly ever drink sodas and such anymore. There isn't any heath food/natural food stores in my area, they're all about a half hour away. So, yea. I thought about that Mucinex stuff myself, and I'll also look at Broomhexine if my store carries it.

Cause I really need something to stop this cough. It kept me up all night last night...and adding that with school the next day with a test first thing isn't a good thing. o.O

Oh well, my dad is taking me to the doctor again today since the coughing is getting worse and the pain in my chest really hurts every time I have a coughing fit.

My mom's sick now too and just went in for a chest x-ray to see if she might have Bronchitis or Pneumonia. I hope she doesn't. And I hope I might not be getting one of those either.

Thanks for all your tips guys. If my doctor doesn't get me anything I'll check the store for those things you mentioned.

Ear infections suck, but antibiotics usually clear them up pretty quickly. =)
