People who join a site, then start 'crying' because they think no one likes them.

People who speak in totally incomprehensible sentences, then wonder why no one replies.

People who make new threads just to tell you something that there's already ten threads for. (Nine of which have been locked)

People who join, do something stupid, then run off crying because they think everyone hates them because they did something stupid.

People who have numerous numbers after their username. (ircool9332534, for example)

Excessive use of smilies. (I'd do an example, but I'd get irritated at myself.)

People who brag about how great their computer is, but couldn't tell you what RAM stands for.

Among others; these are what stands out currently.

I just think those ^ need to lighten up. Seriously, there are better things to be anal about heh

Leetspeak There is no reason to use numbers in a word when there are working letter keys on your keyboard... ya know?

Attention Hogs.. and it's usually girls (or guys posing as girls) who do this.
For example... in the game EQ2 that I'm playing. There's a girl in the guild I'm in and I swear she smurf herself out every chance she gets... excuse the language (flirting with every male member, and some female members who are just like her, etc).
Or some who do those "No one likes/knows me, I need a hug" dumb threads. Nothing can be more pathetic than that.
There are the guys who do it as well. Try to act all "bad" thinking it's making them look tough and cool when it just makes you seem like the biggest loser.

And erm, those are all I can think of right now.
I'm sure there are plenty of other things that annoy me online heh.

Anyhoo, I hate stickycaps and obsessive smiley use/1337 aswell.

I'm a sucker for using smilies .. so everyone who finds it annoying... sorry! <-- oops there I go again!

Anyway .. I really hate people who just post to get a higher post count, one/two word posts, horrible people who pretend (or are, which is worse) to be nazis, racists and drug users .. believe me, I've met them. Saddos.

And the attention seekers... they annoy me too - if you're upset surely you'd want to keep it to yourself or tell one or two friends via pm ... not post it so the whole world can see.

I can live with chatspeak though ... if it's legible.

Excessive smilies is really annoying, y'know? Who wants to fill up their posts with yellow faces It's really annoying . Makes me wanna laugh at them. Stupid people.


One or two smilies are fine. Aslong as they don't fill up the post more than full stops, it's ok.

Chatspeak.

A million smilies in one post.

People who spam but don't think they're doing anything wrong.

People who post a thread saying nobody likes them.

All capitals typing.

People who post stupid things to get attention.

People who post stuff like they're all that, but they really aren't.

"New members" who beg for things using chatspeak.

Double-posting.

People who have names such as kitty34230492 or imsocool3023492034.

People who make threads about things when there's already a thread about it.

...And much, much more.

People who break rules but know they're breaking them, people who refuse to read the rules, break them, and then act innocent ("What?!?! OHEMEGEEZEEE!1111!!!oneone!!!11 IT'S NOT IN THE RULES!1!!!"), chatspeak, liars, hackers, and scammers.

Wow I'm annoying.

1. When people use some CSS contraption of which I am not worthy of understanding on the blogs so the line spacing is reduced. A little is fine-it usually looks good; reducing it so much that the lines are nearly touching, then introducing links that get some underline-overline decoration when you mouse over it is annoying.

*ponders* Why do I even go on those blogs? *thinks self is stupid*

2. When people who I don't really know start "heyy/Hello/w^/Nothing really, you?/sh" conversations.

*ponders* Why do I respond to them? *thinks self is stupid*

3. When people [as many have mentioned] have names like suprhiprcheerledrchik123456789callme5551357 (wouldn't a little subtlety and less numbers be nice) or xXx0o0zyz_-Ang31-_zyz0o0xXx.

*ponders* *is out of "Why do I..." questions* *still thinks self is stupid*

It takes a lot for me to get annoyed. I'm usually pretty patient with everyone, even if they use chatspeak or anything in that catagory. But I do get annoyed online when people flame me in my livejournal or IM me just to say "Hey, you're stupid!"

I don't get that too often, but when I do....oh boy...sparks fly, volcanoes erupt, and Sarah goes CRAZY!

Chatspeak, spammers, people who think they're really cool when they're not.

(AKA about 95% of the people on IRC. <_<)

I hate uptight know it alls.
