That's the "joke" part of it. In the United States after the Civil War a group of people organized in the south known as the Klu Klux Klan (KKK). They would wear white sheets with white hoods (as seen above) and would terrorize the liberated blacks by lynching them and performing other acts of terror. They especially focused on anyone who got so bold as to vote or try to educate themselves. The reason they did it was to suppress the black population and keep them "in their place". Anyway, the "joke" is that the KKK memeber will be "take care of" the newly crowned Miss America winner as soon as he gets the chance.

Well, kinda. See instead of a pickup truck we used coolers and chairs and just about anything we could find around that was 2-3 feet high and held the tarp on them with logs and other heavy things. Unfortunately, this wasn't a very good superstructure for it and the tarp started getting holes in it from us playing and the force of the water. So then we found some old, moldy carrots in the bottom of one of the coolers and used them to stop up some of the holes. We spent more time trying to keep our "pool" from falling to pieces than we did swimming in it.
